Maeghan Major Signs With Team Hyperlite

Charlotte, NC - Two time World Champion Maeghan Major has entered the Pro Men's division of the MasterCraft Pro Water Ski Championships. "I'm excited, I've never had to stand on the dock and ride against the guys. This should be interesting!" "This is the 'Super Bowl' of water sports and it is in my back yard. This is the closest event to where I live, work and ride. MasterCraft is the title sponsor and I have fans who will be there. I wanted to ride for my sponsors in their event as well as my fans and customers."

The event is scheduled to be a "hit and run" utilizing all sliders with no wake tricks. "I feel really comfortable on the sliders and kickers. I like my chances. I don't want to predict an upset or anything but if you get beat by a girl…"

The MasterCraft Pro Water Ski Championships is slated to be the largest tournament of its kind, highlighting all disciplines of water skiing. The event is scheduled to take place May 3rd through May 5th at one of the most famous sites in all of water sports, Trophy Lakes, located just outside Charleston, South Carolina. Maeghan will have to qualify Friday for a shot at the semi-finals on Saturday. The entire weekend schedule can be found on the MasterCraft web site.
