NEW YORK – iN DEMAND, the nation’s largest provider of pay-per-view and video-on-demand programming, will carry THE GRAVITY GAMES: LIVE AND UNCUT, a four-day package from August 1st to 4th, the first time an action sports festival has ever been available on live national pay-per-view. The announcement was made today by iN DEMAND’s Dan York, Senior Vice President, Programming and Development and Wade Martin, Executive Director of the Gravity Games.
Entering its fourth year, The Gravity GamesTM, is the premier action sports, music and lifestyle festival and will feature more than 250 of the world's best professional action sports athletes competing in Skateboarding, Bike, Inline, Freestyle Motocross, Street Luge, Downhill Skateboarding, and Wakeboarding events. iN DEMAND will provide 12 hours of coverage over the final four days of the event culminating with live broadcasts of the Skateboard Vert Finals, Bike Vert Finals, Inline Vert Finals, Bike Street Finals plus highlights from Freestyle Motocross and Skateboard Street just to name a few.
The 2002 Gravity Games is a nine-day event with the bulk of the action in Cleveland July 31st to August 4th at the North Coast Harbor at the foot the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. The Games are expected to draw more than 250,000 spectators, competitors and celebrities. iN DEMAND will telecast the final four days, from August 1st to 4th, on national PPV television with three-hour telecasts each evening. In addition to making the games available nationally on cable TV, iN DEMAND also will make the games available to DirecTV and the Dish Network.
The suggested retail price of the four-day package is $29.95, half off the per day price. Each day’s program can be purchased for a suggested retail price of $14.95.
