Just hours after winning his semifinal heat and a day after winning his prelim heat, Mark Kenney continued the trend with a the biggest win of his career at the 2002 Gravity Games. Mark's huge bat wing off the double up helped enable him to edge out last year's Gravity Games Champion, Darin Shapiro, who fell on his double up attempt and got third place. Falls were not a rarity in the extremely rough conditions of North Coast Harbor in Cleveland, Ohio. Taking the second place prize money was Daniel Harf. Despite an injured knee, Daniel finished his run with a 900 off the double up. Rob Struharik followed in fourth place.

On the women's side of the fence, last year's Gravity Games Champion, Dallas Friday fell short this year placing third in the finals. At the top of the podium was Emily Copeland, who placed fourth in the 2001 Gravity Games. Second place went to Californian, Melissa Marquardt.
