2001 Professional Wakeboard Tour High Point, NC - The Pro Wakeboard Tour's youth movement was in full effect at High Point's Festival Park in Friday's qualifying.

High Point is the site of one of the busiest days of wakeboarding in the 2001 season. In all, almost 100 competitors will compete in both amateur and pro divisions.

Froggy Soven, at 12, one of the youngest competitors in any of the divisions, took the second heat of Men's Pro Wakeboard Qualifying on Friday.

Soven will be joined in Saturday's Men's Quarterfinals by Randall Harris, Shane Bonifay and Trevor Hansen.

Hansen and Bonifay, at 16 and 17 years old respectively have been tearing up professional wakeboarding in 2001. Bonifay has been a pro for quite some time, but Hansen is in his rookie season, and making a case for rookie of the year.

One of the oldest competitors to qualify on Friday had to do it the hard way. Rob Struharik, in his fifth year as a pro at the ripe old age of 20, needed the Last Chance Qualifier to ride on Saturday. Struharik bested Kyle Schmidt and Billy McKee in the LCQ.
