(Merced, CA) - Last week, Malibu Boats closed the deal with Dallas Friday,
wakeboarding's youngest and most promising female rider. Friday signed a
two-year contract to ride behind the industry's leading wakeboard boat, the
Wakesetter VLX.
Hailing from Orlando, Florida, at 14, Friday is the youngest professional
wakeboarder on the tour. But make no mistake, her big-air moves and
captivating style scream experience. This 8th grader goes just as big as the
veteran riders, if not bigger.
People throughout the wakeboarding industry are talking about Friday's
awesome ability. "That girl is going to go far. I saw her attempt a double
front at Worlds. I can't believe she's only 14," comments Dave Williams, of WakeWorld.com.
Although Friday was introduced to wakeboarding only 18 months ago, she is no
stranger to heated competition. This young lady competed as a gymnast for
the five years prior to her discovery of wakeboarding. The multitalented
Friday has held both Florida State and US Regional championship titles in
gymnastics.
Her gymnastic experience may explain the amazing acrobatics she displayed in
West Palm Beach, Florida at the First Annual America's Cup competition.
Friday captured an impressive victory over some of the world's leading
female wakeboarders, and she did it all behind the Malibu Wakesetter VLX.
As a dedicated Christian, Friday is devoted to her family and cherishes her
friendships. Her personal qualities along with her extraordinary
wakeboarding ability make her a wonderful addition to the Malibu team.
The worlds leading ski boat manufacturer has gained another world-class
competitor who can demonstrate the Malibu difference.
