Adding Eclipes 21000 EQ, and having problem.Wired yellow to yellow (back up) to stereo, Ground to Stereo ground, and blue to blue ( powers on amps )to stereo. Plays fine when engine is not on, turn engine on and get loud humming and no sound ? Please help. Thanks in advance.

Yo Tim:

Did your system make the Humming Noise before you installed the EQ? Im Assuming No. It could be any one of these things try looking at you system like this.

#1 Are all your Ground's good and going to the same place?
#2 Are you running Your Power and Rca's to close to each other
Also check Is the Volume on you EQ turned up to loud? if so you will get a Engine Noise.

These are the 2 Major reasons you will have Engine Noise If everything is good I have heard of people having good Luck getting rid of engine noise by Installing a Ground loop Isolator do a search here for Ground loop Isolator for more info on it. Your problem is very common. Sorry thres not a easy answer for it you have to look around
