Hi all.

I want to pick up a couple of reversible JABSCO Ballast Puppies.

Can anyone recommend a store/site to get them?

I found it here for $199. Is that a fair price?

Buy Simers. A bit faster and half the money

Search the threads... most people prefer them!

How's Ty doing?

I added a pair of Aerators to fill and drain my ski locker (600). I changed my Simer so that it runs only my floor sac (350). Works pretty well!

My pp is great. Once in a while it'll start hunting the set speed (+/- 1.5 mph). However, most of the time it runs +/- 1 mph or better.

take care,

awesome. pp is great.

i am actually in the process of manifolding my simer off to fill another 600 or 700 pound sac that will sit on top of the floor above my 700 pound locker sac. I found a quick release that closes off water when disonnected for under 10.00 if you are interested.

Yeah... all the QD I looked necked down the flow path to 1/2" or so

What does this one look like?

it is in between a 1/2-3/4 as it is brass. brass has a lot less restriction. might be worth convenience though.

Is there an online pic of it?

I found some brass garden hose fittings that are 0.7 (very close to true 3/4) and lately just leave my sac connected.

I'm reaching the lazy part of the year.

West marine has those pumps for $175. You can fill out a credit card app and get 10% off, + you would get some kind of points on their 'cash back' program.

You can fill out a survey here
http://http://tm0.com/WestMarine/sbct.cgi?s=677130000&i=849426&m=1&d=4913825&h=_cid%3D849426%253A677130000
and get a $20 coupon also.

And, sadly, they just had a sale for 20% off that ended August 10th.

That would have been worth it. What's the deal on the Simer's ? I thought they were $67 ? I'd like the contact info if that is the case - or is it still be atlas?

I'll have one or the other in a couple of weeks.

So, I had decided to go with the JABSCO pumps for the peace of mind (marine-ignition protection and run-dry protection).

Yet, the link above to wakeboardboats.com for $199 pumps appears to be a link to a dead company.

And, West Marine has the "ballast puppy" pump in their catelog for $239! Yikes, that crazy!

$480 for two Jabscos vs $160 for two Simmers.

i run my simer in the side compartment which is attatched to and shares air space with the engine. no prob.
i think they just say that to cover their arse because they claim that their pumps are water resistant or something like that.
