Does this look like an early X Star to you guys? I found it on the Australian wakeboarding forum
Not really. It kind of looks like a Supreme with a Nautique Tower though.
Looks like a pile of ****
Not even close. Makes me wonder if you have any idea what an early X-star looked like.
This is a 98. MC made a 97 too. Dark green with an extended pylon.
oh i get it because its not a mastercraft its not cool.looks just like ur x star.
No...not look like x-star
sorry all boats are same genral shape

Yea, I found it on a UK website. Guess the stock lights weren't enough for 'em.
That doesn't look like an old xstar to me. old xstars don't have a 'drop nose' bow. Looks more like an older supra sunsport than anything on the front half of the boat anyways. just my .02
from what I have seen in the past several years.... they are using OLD molds down there.... It might have improved over the past 2 years though. There was a lot of closed bows and direct drives. The boat in the pic looks like a newer mold than the ones I had seen.
this is their website....
here is another....
looks like they do have open bows now.
Old molds maybe the answer H20 I didn't think of that, makes sense to buy old molds from here and use there due to market size etc I wonder which mold they bought, does anyone know?
I spent some time in Australia last summer. Aside from some Malibus that are made there (near adalaide) nearly all the wakeboats are bought and shipped from California or Washington.
Good for them to be making their own quality wakeboats now, shipping to AU is not cheap!
Quality? Not sure about that, but they are making boats.
I don't know of any other country that can put out a wakeboard boat equal in quality and performance to that of the Big 3.
Hey guys.
I am from Australia so just thought I would help you all out with some info.
There are ALOT of ski boat manufacturers in Australia.
And some of them guys have had a stab at the wakeboat market too. However many of there "wakeboats" are more suited as crossover boats. Quality is great on some of them too, as good as the imports, but most still dont compare to US made boats.
However if I remeber correctly, Supra was started when someone brought some old lewis ski boat moulds from Australia over to the US.
You guys should check out some of these links if your interested in having a look at what alot of the boats in Australia are like
IMO Matrix are producing the best Australian made wakeboard boat.
Haha reading this is funny from an Aussie point of view. Its like were all cavemen down here. Anyway that boat is a price point wakeboard boat. The majority of boats down here are now open bow, and have some of the latest technology. All the rest are basically Malibu!
Is it just me or do every one of these boats look similar to Gekko?
Nope, the Matrix is waaaayyy classier than the Gekko.
I always thought that keyhole front legroom was a neat idea.
Nope, it just looks like a wakeboard boat. Stunning, huh...
And as for Australian boats, there are still a lot of older style dedicated family/ski boat companies, however, there are a couple of local manufacturers who are stepping up to the plate and making products that are getting up there with some of the imports. Matrix is a good example of this.
that one is by far my favorite
does Australia not have any of the boats that we have here?
We have all the major brands.
hahaha they do think we are all cavemen!
We have all the big names here mate.
And now we even have EPIC. I took delivery of the first 23V in Australia last week.
Havent got her in the water yet though.
BTW I am the distributor here but my intentions when posting on this forum are pure and not to hype the brand of boat I sell.
The Matrix MVS looks cool. You think it's based off a Bu or an original? What kind of money is it?
Agreed the MVS looks GREAT. All the other brands posted I dont like. The profooter looks gorgeous.
