Wondering if anyone knows if the newer OEM stereos (Kenwoods I believe) will fit in a 03' SSV without having to make alterations to the dash. My Kenwood KDC-MPV7019 is very intermittent, most of the time the face plate illuminates but it doesn't respond to any inputs like volume, station changes etc. My thought is to replace it with the same version if I can find one or get another stock because I want to still have my transom control work.
Do face plates go bad?
Any thoughts?

get a toothbrush and we 40 flip the face off and clean the contacts on both sides

No problem, that should fix it. I sold the 2001 on Monday and have mixed feelings about it.
