Does anyone have any experience with these amps? Just by looking at the specs, they look prety good, but would like to poll the crowd to see if anyone has any first hand experience with them... I'm thinking of putting this amp on a WetSounds Double up... http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3693_MA+Audio+HK898.html# Another possibility is the Alpine PDX series amp. Any thoughts on those? |

I've concidered the MA amps but ended up going with Cadence instead, just couldnt find enough info on them. I just cant see puting them in the same class as the new PDX's though?? If your interested in that amp at a way better price and havent seen it heres a link. http://cgi.ebay.com/MA-AUDIO-HK898-2-CHANNEL-AMPLIFIER-AMP_W0QQitemZ360134868969QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Amplifiers?hash=item360134868969&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 |

I had a MA amp in one of my boats. I thought that it sounded pretty good. They have different series of amps with the HK series being their best. I will say that compared to Soundstream and Kicker which I have also had, the MA heated up a lot more. The soundstream Tarantula series stayed the coolest and sounded the best (loudest also). |

I wouldn't use MA but would use Alpine or kicker if it is a budget issue. |

I have MA audio amps in my boat and I like them... They sound good enough and the price is right. Haven't had a problem yet (3 years). I'm sure they are not as good as some of the other stuff out there but I can't really tell the difference. |
