Does Hyperlite send you a check every month for douching out your truck?

Typical WakeWorld reply. What is happening to this forum?

Pierce, its a long story... the newb was talking shid about another members rig and got told to put his truck up. So this isn't about tow rigs, its about proving that he has a truck so that he can start shid on wakeworld.

"dude are u serrious? put ur truck up then talk wow"
No thanks. Got a lot more to do than argue with a moron today.

My point to Andy is that he needs to lighten up...if he is defined by his Truck, then he has issues. Yes, it's a nice truck. My issue is his statements that "gas trucks are for girls" or "lowered trucks are for Mexican's" type statements are out of line. He likes his truck...hooray. I'm not jealous....I've owned about 1.5 vehicles for every year he's been alive. The thread was started by someone looking for advice on a tow vehicle...very few replies actually even addressed that question.

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood lately, but I have little tolerance for ignorance...it makes an ugly world just that much uglier.

Seriously guys.... Dont get sucked into the hype.

One of the things that makes this forum so great, is the general lack of childishness. 99% of you guys calling each other douches and what not, I GUARANTEE you would not say if the other party was in your face.

A little respect guys.

Those are some pretty nice rigs... I'll see if I can find one of mine when I get to the casa.

You should really write a book about time management - specifically "how to ball out of control: while working three jobs and racking-up 'over 400,000 [miles] easy' in four years all the while going to school and buying $120,000 worth of toys, and even having time to put people in their place because they're not ballin outta control like you."

wel let me start right now... i drive a rig accrost the country, from michigan to houston houston to columbis, for a large heat treating company. 400,000 easy in 4 years, 100,000 miles a year take that and 3 more years is what???????? o ya

Sounds like someone is a little full of himself whatever though man. Your truck isnt even manly as the way you define "manly", its barely lifted and looks like almost every other big diesel truck, dont get me wrong its nice and all, I wish I had a pick up, but Its no more manly than a stock truck, besides some fat 31's...

Im not tryin to rip on you just sayin you come off like a dbag dude, for example, in the other thread, you ripped on some guy for having a Sanger.... thats pretty low man, especially if thats all someone can afford to be able to ride.

"people are just jelious"??

Are you kidding me? Im no where near jelious, I have pretty much everything a 17 year old could ask for man. But I dont show it all off and compare it to others, If some guys just bot a wake boat for 10 grand and he takes pride in it I'm super happy for him andy would put him down for having something less then a sanger, considering he already ripped on a guy because he had a sanger... typical MC/BU guys. Its how he handles himself and how he boats about himself and how he shoves down almost everyone.

By bu (mc4life) on Wednesday, February 04, 2009 - 8:11 pm:    Edit Post Delete Post
acually bro he was not ripping on him, he was proclaiming he was just backin stuff up that the sanger cat had said earlier

It's ok, he made fun of my boat, that I paid for with my hard earned money.

Twitch, I understand what you're saying. If you're out there supporting the sport and have a good attitude that's great! I just feel that it's a "I'm better than you" thing with him.

I just feel bad that I had to drop down to his level. I'm disappointed in myself.

Towing old school....remind me of the old mastercraft "Priorities" poster.

This is before the boat got a titan tower, bimini, tower speakers, etc...

Since the photo, the truck has gotten some 2008 17" chevy stock wheels.

1991 Chevy Suburban 2500 4x4, 350/4l80e
Truck is tough as nails, gets 16MPG+ on the freeway unloaded, and reminds me of the truck i grew up in.

Bryan I didnt mean to say sangers arent nice boats or anything I have no idea how much they ding you, but you dont rip on someone because of what boat they whip. As long as they are proud of it and it fits their likes you should be happy for them, and not saying you have a sanger you cant talk, and then BU rider saying sangers are a POS. Its just un-called for. People work hard towards these things and if other people go out of their way to bash them it doesnt feel too good. Thats all I'm saying.

This is prior to switching out all of those stickers. The big LF has been changed to the 08 style LF logo, the lower left is now a big red quicksilver sticker. The middle over the grip on the rear window is a Virginia Tech sticker. The right side is now a billabong sticker, and on the left rear window is an Ambush sticker and a Wake'N'Skate sticker. The right rear window rocks a WakeWorld sticker as well. Some of them are about to get changed out though, since it's been like that for over a year and I feel as though it's time for a change =P.

Not my tow vehicle yet, since I still need to drop the cash on a hitch, but once I actually have some money to do so, I'll be dragging our deckboat and jetskis with it.

Andy, you are so full of crap it is painful. You "drive a rig for a large heat treating company 100K miles a year", been doing it for 3 years, and are 20 years old. Well, Sir, I hold a Commercial Driver's License, and have had it for 24 years. DOT regs prohibit commercial drivers under the age of 21 from operating across state lines....so your either running illegal, or completely full of crap.

Coming to Twitch's defense, he is a good kid with good morals and a good work ethic especially in this day and age of kids thinking My Super Sweet 16 is real life. His family does well and he never gets on here and acts like a lot of the teens that lurk. This Andy though is coming off as a DB hopefully that will change.

Nice setup Andy -- But is that a Ski-Don't I spy in the back?? Please tell me you keep the Polaris/Arctic Cat's in the back to keep them nice and pretty haha. Where you ride at, U.P. or what?

But just a question - how do you cross state lines in a semi under 21? You get your CDL outta state or something?

You guys got me all worked up for a new rig....what's the opinion on an 08 F250, 6.4 PS. This particular truck has a 6" lift, I think 37's, and tons of flashy fluff. Is the 6.4 still getting the bugs worked out? Truck has 7K miles on it. I've had 2 6.0 PSD's, and they both left me stranded a couple times...caused me to go to Cummins in 2006.

For the lifted guys....how much does a properly installed suspension lift decrease your towing capacity? I regularly will need to pull up to 12.5K on a conventional hitch.

meathead, im am loving my rig right now. i had a 05 with the 6.0 and yes i got stranded once when my high pressure oil pump went out but who didnt have that problem. reason i love this 08, first off its so smooth and quiet. i never have been one too chip, lift or do many mods to my diesels but im not opposed to it so im not much help there. i like the twin turbo. it rolls on smooth were my 05 had a harder hit. if im correct the turbos roll on in series? first one than a smooth transition to the second, but im not sure exactly. mine is a late 08 so it had the major recalls already done, i.e. flame throwing exaust, coolent venturi issue and regeneration cycle program issue, seat belt mount issue. all these were fixed before my truck was delivered so........ my truck was sitting on the lot for a few months so it had a pully sqeak due to lack of lubrication from not being ran, fixed in a few hrs. no issues at 4100 miles but its got a long life ahead of her so who knows. over all the interior of the 08 is insane on the lariet. it feels more roomy than my 05, the dash feels like it is more forward and up, very classy with a sport look with the chrome bezels and such with the woodgrain look intermixed. its a deffinent tow truck, it likes having a trailer back there. going from a 350 to a 250 has not been an issue but i think i might need to put a super spring in the rear when towing the 10k dump trailer. but i have not been working wit my bro lately so i dont know yet. tows my vlx like its not even there.

Here's our tow rigs/toys

Mine is white 2005 Ford Superduty 4x4. 10.5 inch Rize lift with 40 inch Toyo's on 22 inch MKW, intake, edge, hog performance stainless exhaust, 4 inch, and a bunch of other stuff

Dodge is my business partner Brett's 2005 Dodge Dually with Kelderman Air Ride lift, about 16 inches total lift, 22.5 inch freightliner 18 wheeler wheels and tires, you can see the easy way to load a trailer. No need to jack the trailer up, just drop the back end of the truck and back up, then air it up and pick the trailer up.

I have a F350 and it answered all of my needs during cross country Toy Box travel (Dirt Bike days)
Today towing a boat this piece of sh!+ can't turn a 180 on a three lane highway. It has a worse turning radius than a freaking freight train.

I'm looking for something small, tasteful and pretty. I want to turn and back up like the boat isn't even back there.
Here is my idea of the ultimate tow vehicle. To bad everybody else thinks the same way, these things are expensive.......

Damn there are some bad ass set ups out there, nice work guys.

Brent that Bronco is sick but as a tow rig it does have a short wheel base so it'd have a little less control but yeah nice ass rig.

Ron, that set up looks super tight love the red and black together.

We are the poster children for foreign oil dependence it would seem. It's starting to bother me just the tiniest bit every now and then in the winter when we can't ride... a couple of good sets in the spring and it goes away though ;-)
As a compromise we gave up the "full figured" tow rig and found a smaller vehicle that does almost as well.

Had to get rid of the diesel. The new truck hopefully will be "set up" this summer! (Hope for a good HAIL season!!!) Otherwise the boat is usually behind the RV. Then the beater is the launch vehicle for the lake. We don't have a ramp. Just sand!! Come on summer!!!!!
