| Im fixin to get another boat. Im limited to about 15,000 unless i can talk wife into something more.So i see this 1990 prostar 190, good cond. incredible sound system for $11,000. Good deal? On another note, about this type of boat, Im worried it would be cramped when bringing family and friends??? Its not bad when its just me and buddies. Also why do they even make closed bow boats???? Seems like wasted space for no reason. so far its between a crownline 19' v6 tower sound system low hours or the prostar??? if u guys see any good deals let me know; Im in Louisiana. Thanks. |
| You should be able to get a better deal than that. What accessories, besides system? Don't settle for a closed bow, you'll regret it especially if you have kids. It's nice to stick em in the front. I don't know about the Mastercrafts, but check to see if it has wood stringers (what the motor mounts to). You want an all fiberglass boat. I picked up a '93 Sunsetter last year for 12K (see profile) More than I wanted to pay, but that's what happens when you buy a boat in the middle of summer. Tower, racks, 3 boards/bindings, ropes, new trailer tires, custom cover, brand new Sunbrella bimini, decent stereo (not that important to me), in EXCELLENT condition. Shop around. | that boat does one thing well slalom and thats it. not real good for a a family that has to spend all day in it with all their stuff. its justto small. if your a slalom head its your boat but from what you said i think you could find a better fit for your needs. |
| over priced.. should be 10K and lower. |
| Overpriced and really cramped for more than 3 people (driver, skiier, and spotter). Cramped for 1 person if you run sacks. For a family on that budget, look for an older Supra Sunsport, Malibu Sunsetter, MC Maristar or PS205, or Sport Nautique. '93+ is wood free for Supra & Malibu and (I think) CC, and like '85+ for MC. |
