I am looking for any info on a 2006 tige 22v. A buddy of mine is looking at a new 2006 model. It was pretty loaded up (but I don't know all the details). I think the price was $58k canadian. Is this price in the ball park.
Secondly, what is the wake like on this thing. I am interested in wakeboard and slalom wakes. They will probably use it 50/50 slalom/wakeboard boat and will want to run a course. Anyone have any wake pics?
Is there a better choice out there for a v-drive to slalom behind? I always hear the x-1, but he may want a bigger boat than that.
Lastly, what are your overall thoughts on this boat.

The 22v is going to be solid for wakeboarding and surfing. I don't know about the slalom wake. Probably fairly large if you are coming from a DD. For the wake size with 2000lbs. ballast watch this video:
This is behind a 2005 22v loaded up with about 2000lbs. and 7 or 8 peeps.

While the wake won't be tournament quality for slalom, it is still do-able. I run my 22i through the course just about every weekend. What doesn't kill you can only make you stronger. From what I hear, the 22v is actually one of the best slalom wakes around for a V-drive. Better than the 22i. The only way to find out is to ski it. Ask this question over on tigeowners.com.

Jonathan go to Wakecraft.com and go into gallery then click on action. Scroll through until you get to the wake pic's. Should be two pictures of the wake at ski speeds roughly 34 mph. Very skiable for a v-drive one big reason I bought one.

This is my 2005 22V. I paid 52,500 new and sold it this year for 52000. The boat was loaded with everything but a hot water shower. I have an RZ2 now. The 58 canadian sounds OK.

I always thought tige was one of the cheaper boats, i just really have never heard that good of things...def not anymore. wakepros boat looks great and so does the above wake.

Jonathan- The slalom wake is OK for recreational use- you'll HATE it for running the course. First of all, the boat's too wide for the course- you'll hit every alignment bouy going through and unless you're going 36 at 22 off, the wake is too abrupt. I've ran my 21V through the course a few times and can only get 3 at 22 going 36. Behind my buddy's Prostar 190 I can go 6 at 28 so slalom wise-it's not going to cut it for you unless you're just cruising. Surfing and boarding- you will LOVE this boat. It's all trade-offs...

One thing to remember, The wake will not lay down unless you going at least 34 mph.

Oh, just to clarify, that was on a Tige 20V with about 1000lbs in it, but the Perfect Pass was messed up so the wake was washing intermittently...
