At some point this winter, after redoing my stereo, ballast, new racks, PP, etc. I think I might take a look at my trailer after seeing this..

paul, I've been a truck driver for many years and from the looks of this the brakes probably were not fully released. Could be for many reasons, rust build up, salt corrosion, improper trailering....etc. Friction causes heat! Tires are combustable. Good job posting this picture! It's not a bad idea to check your hubs while on a long journey. This picture is worth a thousand words...peace
