Im looking at a 1990 Ski Nautique 19' and putting a Monster Tower on it. Any Comments about the wake and handling characteristics of this year boat. Another boat I am looking at is a 1988 Supra 21'. Any comments are welcomed. (Im trying to buy for under 10 Grand!!)

I had a 95 SN that had a monster on it. The worst thing about these boats are the sloped back transoms. When you get them loaded up they let waves wash over the back. I was running about 800lbs in back and 400lbs in front. With that much weight it's challenging to drive with taking water on from both ends. I think the 1990 SN may still have wood stringers. Check www.planetnautiques.com, there is a good writeup how to inspect for wood rot in the stringers.

I believe CC dropped the wood stringers in 1994?

The link in Mikeski's post above should be http://www.planetnautique.com.

PlanetNautiques.com will not work.
