It is made by Kayser Medallion (borg warner) and it is used in lots of boats including my Toyota. It is a crappy little pain in the ass. Gauge fluctuation is a common issue, water from the pitots entering the box and frying it is not unusual either. They are about 300$, I have put two in my boat in the last four years.

A good place to go to read up on them is Jasons killer site www.MalibuBoatOwners.com , people vent about them there all the time, there are posts describing common problems and fixes.
