Hello, looking for some input on the Centurion Elite d/d. I have not been in or behind one so I am looking for some info. Good, bad, and the ugly. Thanks for your time!

Why not look at the V-drive?

Is that the elite bowrider? If so, I would look more at the T5. From what I gather the bowrider has more of a slalom wake. I have a T5 and the wake is really good for a smaller d/d.

I bought one this summer its a 1997, and it is very roomy, I love it. Decent wake if weighted propperly, and lots of storage.

Scott, the reason I put it up is because Rod asked for information about the exact same boat, and that thread has a lot of info in it.

"and that thread has a lot of info in it. "

Peter,
That thread has a question about whether that persons tranny is bad or the prop is cavitating. It doesn't have any broad info about the boat that I think Rob was looking for. I can link a post about a MC or Malibu having a problem each time someone asks for advice on them. I don't, b/c I don't think it's constructive. I'm not trying to instigate anything here, it's just my observation. Please don't take it personal.

Scott, that thread had a discussion that wound up covering props, weighting, and a known problem with the boat. Kevin had many good ideas to help aliviate the problem. Rod said "I have not been in or behind one so I am looking for some info. Good, bad, and the ugly". Doesn't that pertain to the other thread? If I was buying any brand of boat I would like to know all the problems that the boat has, and that is the greatest thing of discussion boards is you can search the archives and find exactly that information. I have changed my mind many times on purchasing products due to knowledgeable peoples real world experiences with the products I am looking to purchase. When searching for most stuff I look for reviews/discussions on the internet and average it out over many peoples views of a product to make an educated decision. I do not want to hear "works great", I want to know why it works great or what problems it is having.

As for taking it personal, I do not care we sold the boat...I am not bashing all Centurians and you might feel like I am bashing you because you own one. The answer is no, as I stated in the other thread, I only have experience with the Elite bow rider. I hope you enjoy your boat as much as I enjoyed owning a boat

Sorry Rod, for the derailment. I am only trying to help feed you more information.

Here are other peoples thoughts, and I never posted in these threads. Although I seached by name of author. Try doing a search using key word "Centurian" and I am sure you can find tons of usefull info.
