Maristar is MC's luxury line. Most are typiclly v-drives(the first skiboat to do that) although I have seen a few Maristar directs out there. Maristars are typiclly a bit wider than prostars with nicer carpet, vinyl and fanicer gauges. The older v-drives can through a nice wake when weighted properly

I might be mistaken but if memory serves there aren't any direct drive Maristars, they are all vdrives.

a direct drive has the engine in the middle of the boat, where a v-drive has the engine in the back fliped 180 with a v transmission. Here is a link for the direct drive cuddy cabin maristar

jason is right but cc already build v-drives in the late 80,s called a barefoot nautique or excel
a prostar is a much smaller boat not the best boat for wakeboarding unless you have a late 90,s 205 model it still needs 1200lbs to create a serious wake.
the maristars are build in 4 different types.
a 200 d-drive a 200 v-drive a 225 d-drive and a 225 v-drive.they where build from 93 till 97,after that they changed hulls..better known as the x-10 and x-30 now.(geez they already build that same boathull for 8 years now)

this is a 200 d-drive
this is a 225 d-drive
this is a 225 v-drive
