I like this one an awful lot:
2004 X2
Here's a couple of my faves....

here is another
zack, what percent tints are those on the x-star??
hey zack what lake is that seems very bad a...
Tracie by far has the the best pic so far with the BU. I'll throw this oldie back up - now for Brandon to throw that grab on a w2w :-)
That is an awesome shot. My son does that all the time, the other son just loves cannonballs - family time on the boat is the best.
I had one shot at that picture before the rollers came in from the boaters that came out for the day. I was able to rip off 4 or 5 before the waves entered the pics. A lot of people ask me why we weren't out on water that good - my answer is that we had already been out that morning, twice!
one of my favorites
Here is a new one of mine.
Nice pick Tracie. Nice B-52 John.
here is my boat, i use it for scuba an playin, just got it a few weeks ago. just started wakeboarding like 3 weeks ago an all i can say is its fun as heck.
Gotta love that metalic flake!
Dry docked for the last 6 months....less than a week and back on the water
Jeff (socalwakepunk)...interesting color scheme on your nautique looks different.
Rueben - I'll take the chick in the yellow bikini.
Here's ours.
Man, these are all such sweet rides. I'll put a post of my '99 Moomba Outback when I get one (just bought the boat today).
Our DD Wakesetter
Man, I've only ridden behind one of the boats in this whole thread. I'm slackin'.
Thanks Mango, Thane!
My supreme ride.
The other ride. A friends.
This is our boat
nice boats!
forgive me for asking a stupid question, but what's the point of tinting the windshield?
cuz it looks cool!
JOe, you havent figured out that wakeboarding is all about the image?

My baby along time ago someone sent me of it, or an identical boat, in production. Now has chrome b530s and chrome board racks. Looks pretty sick. Window tint is next, or a trade in on a 05. Working on my dad

A lot of wakesetters in here. Please tell me how much you like them?

h-bomb, your nautique color scheme is awesome
here's a pic
Here's my new baby.
I have a question, I see a lot of these boats are run up on shore or resting at shore, Do people routinely do this? I know they have those shore gadgets you lay out but none appear to be using them. I have to believe this is bad on the hull and really places the stabilizing fins mid hull at risk of hitting especially when a wave comes a shore and rocks the boat back and forth...I have not done this but was curious what peoples thoughts are?
(Message edited by duramax_dually on July 28, 2004)
ive been thinking the same thing jeff, i know at my lake it doesnt get very deep very fast so it is impossible to beach it, but some of these other lakes it might be possible if the shore drops off fast
Well I was looking at some of the Pictures posted and the shore looks like a gradual angle away so I have to believe they are hitting the fins. Just the rocking back and forth on the nose of the hull is bad enough. I mostly wondered if people did not care and this is how it is and others like me scope an anchor 10 feet out and swim to shore. Just seems like it could get expensive if you miscalculated...
"I mostly wondered if people did not care and this is how it is"
I think that's probably closer to the truth than anything else. Personally, I use the Anchor Buddy & couldn't be happier. No swimming to get to the boat, just pull her in & step up on the platform & the Buddy will pull her back out again.
Bass Lake
I will beach my boat in some places. I will power in till I am in about 2' of water, then I kill the engine, and get out and walk her the rest of the way. If I hit the fins first, then she comes back out, and i anchor her away from the shore. Usually if the shore is that shallow, and does not drop off fast enough, the prop will be the first thing to hit as it is much lower than the rest of the running gear.
The few times I have beached my boat has taken a toll on the gellcoat at the front, and now I stay away from doing it unless it is necessary.
But, I would bet that a majority of people don't think about what is under the water (in the lake or on their boat) when they are out on the water.
Here is my '02 SANTE in water that is about 3' deep.
Ag4ever, nice scheme, dude! Friggin busy tower, too - doing some cross training ;-)
Afree on the beaching thing - scratched mine up in the Havasu channel. That was the one time I let the boat drift up to the beach. Guess it's not all sand there. duh.
Well it appears from the posts that there is no rhyme or reason to people running their boat up to shore. I would have thought if people posted that they had the protective matt or something it made sense(at least for the hull) still did not explain the stabilizing fins. I think that MB Girl and AG4ever pretty well summed it up. Some people care and pay attention, others are just not in that mind set.
Derek, Thanks. The dealer had the boat during the '02 boat show as one of his showcase boats. It sat at the dealer till I bought it in Oct '02. At first I did not like the three tone tower, but he convinced me to take it that way and live with it for a few weeks, and if I still did not like it he would re-powder coat it any way I wanted at no cost. Now I like it b/c I have never seen any other tri-colored towers. The other boat we were looking at was an equally equiped black/grey boat. (Dark gery deck, black stripe, grey hull, black tower. i really wanted that one b/c it looked so good. We decided that in Texas the white deck would be better. On hot days I am glad I got white, but the black looks so good.
Also I spend 90% of my water time on the chair, board a little, and surf even less.
Unfortunatly I was in a wreck a couple weeks ago, and it tore up some muscles in my lower back, so no watersports for me. Heck I can hardly ride in a car or even bendover right now. I am johnsen real bad for some water time.
I'm in Alaska for a month. I understand jonesing.
In my pic above I am beached but it drops off way quicker than it looks - 3 ft out is deeper than my waist. Fins didn't even come close to touching. However, that was the first and last time I'll beach it. I wasn't happy with the all the fine little scratches, they really show up in the red gel coat. I was still breaking it in at that time and didn't know better.
I'm thinking abour installing a keel guard for beaching when there is clean sand (no rocks). Anyone else have one?
Beeeeautiful boat kenw! Love those patriotic graphics with the blue. Where did you get those arms for your bimini?
Tracie, Thats a towerbimini bimini. No straps.
Just the note of beaching, don't know if my pic above(third post), but we always anchor out from the beach. You can seen the rope from the front and one of the two off the back. ALWAYS make sure I am at least 18" off the bottom at the most shallow point, usually 2'. Better safe than sorry.... Plus, even the most sandy area is still sand....which is like putting your boat on sandpaper.....just bouncing up and down....
As I look at all the pics, it looks like almost everyone else is following that same rule. Just looks tight....
First part doesn't make a lot of sense.... Meant to say "don't know if my pic" made it look like I was beached.
And the boats nice too!
gotta represent the T-yota's.
Joe you could put your "boat" in the reef girls thread.
If that's your lady... I praise you... She's definitely HOT! If that's your sister, I'd love to meet her. J/K.
I wouldn't even notice the boat, I'd be too busy staring at her. NICE!
Thane, I got you beat. I've ridden behind two the ones posted! Jeff, still looking sweet as ever! Greg, your coming back from Korea!!! Congratulations!! Ladies & gentlemen, Greg has finished serving our country in Korea, give him some props & well wishes as he gets ready to take that 04 VLX out, we'll see if he can get up to 100 hours now!!

Tracie, what lake was that photo taken at??
Hi Rhett,
It was taken at a lake that's about halfway between Eugene & the coast. It's really small & gets chopped out if there's even 2 or 3 boats on it. I have yet to get any decent shots of the boat at any of our local lakes.

I love the new board racks, still not sold on the tower though... How do you like the fly by wire? Did you get the MC cruise? Heres mine.. for sale too..
|By cdm (cdm) on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 - 8:46 pm:
I love the throttle-by-wire. It is so smooth, but at the same time very touchy, especially in reverse. I didn't want to take a chance with the MC version of PP so we just ordered it with the PP wakeboard pro.
I love the new throttle but it takes a little to get used to it. If you drive a double up correctly it's awesome but if you are challenged with space it's a little tougher. Once you learn how far to pull back or push forward and get used to how responsive it is you'll never want to go back. I am trying to find extra board racks that will work on the new tower and that's my only complaint on the Tower.
What did you use to dye the vinyl to match that color?? That's what stuck out the most in those pics. Very clean job!
Mine, For Sale as well
I went to a paint shop that can color match paint and vinyl dies, the rest is G-14 CLASSIFIED
