For my ballast system I'll be using Simer pumps with 30Amp breakers and 30Amp relays. My relays will be close to the batteries, and my pumps will be between 5 and 15 feet away.

What is a good wire gauge I should be using for the longest runs to the pumps to accommodate the 10-20 amp current over those distances?

Also, what's a good smaller wire gauge for the runs to the relays and switches?

I used 12 AWG for mine (I had 20Amp switches)... The switch to relay you can use 16 AWG.
