I am planning on buying my first boat in a few weeks. I had narrowed my search down to mostly 97 or 98 D-drive sunsetters with around 300 hrs. I have recently run across a 99 Toyata Epic X-22 with only 120hrs. I am not a hardcore wakeboarder by any means, but I do want the ability to produce a nice wake. I like the thought of the fuel efficiency and reliability on the Toyota, but Im a little worried about resale since they are out of production. I see several pros and cons with both boats I just wanted to get a few opinions. Thanks.

The Toyota motor wants to rev and is best suited for high-speed slalom skiing. The lack of low end torque is one of the factors that limited the boat's acceptability to the American consumers.
