Hey all,

My brother-in-law is heading to New York (he is from Ireland) for a week at the end of the month and wants to buy a Wakeboard while he is there. He will also be looking for other watersports equipment while he is there......a couple of inflatables, wetsuits, wakeboard rope and handle, etc....

Anyways, if you know where there is a bargain to be got then please post some comments.

He will be staying in New Jersey and travelling in and out of new york city a couple of times during the week.

Cheers!

He could always phone up one of the online shops, and have them overnight it to where he is staying.

He should call Surf & Offshore and ask for Craig. 732-892-8303. It's a bit of a drive south of Manhattan in Point Pleasant, NJ, but Craig has everything. http://www.soswakeboard.com

He can also try Island Surf & Sail and ask for Terry. 609-597-4073. Terry's a little further south though, on Long Beach Island. http://www.islandsurf-sail.com

If he doesn't want to drive far, he can go to Boater's World in Paramus, NJ. 201-652-3595. This place has all kinds of watersports toys, including some wakeboards, but it's not a pro shop. The same guy selling wakeboards also sells rods, reels, hooks, coolers and vinyl stickers of fish jumping out of the water.

yea, have your b-i-l call craig. It's only about an hour drive from NYC.

caution though, if your B-i-l is not used to our driving, then tell him to be cautious, were a little nutty here in NJ!!!
