My friend is 5'2" and I am 6'2". How do I adjust the placement of my bindins on the board for her?
(i.e. closer together or further apart)
well i don't think it shoukld matter i have a little like 4 ft fifth grader tat uses my littles bros belmonts 134 with teh stance all teh way out and doesn't seenm to have a problem just looks kinda squated but it mmakes him more stable
Without trying to sound condescending, whatever feels most comfortable for her.
Have her ride a few sets and then adjust accordingly.
we'll, i'm 5'2" too, and i ride on a huge board. i realy need a new bored...;( But I have my bindings set with the front one right in the middle, and the other one 2 holes from the back. I dont know if the holes and everyting are the same on all boards, but thats what feels most comfortable for me.
But like phantome5815 said, its realy just whats most comfortable for the rider.

i thought the general rule of thumb was have them jump off a step onto the ground or whatever, landing on both feet at the same time and set the bindings at about that width
for a right sized board, yes... but when the board is about 3x the size of the rider, its real more what feels right.
