How is it during the week? Usually we go to Canyon Lake on Sunday and have okay water until the crazy people come out. We are going out on Wednesday. Does anyone know if it's crazy?

Back in '96 and '97 we had to go at 6 in the morning to avoid the crowds. I can't imagine how it is now. It starts clearing up around late October. Then you can get a wetsuit and enjoy the winter with yourself and the other die hards.

I go out there once every weekend and have no problems. However, I wake up at 3:15am, grab my gear, hook up boat (boat is already gassed up night before) and we are usually riding a little before the sun comes up. It's still light enough outside about 10 minutes before the sun comes up.

I'm lucky to have a crew that will do that with me! We ride for more than two hours and then get off the water as everyone arrives.

We went today and it was pretty nice. We had good water pretty much all day until around 3pm when everyone started showing up.
