For me this is about as close to heaven as you can get. |
For me this was a real soul searching moment.just me and my freinds out on a boat no sound just seeing GOD's wonderous painting he made for us.If i could i would have lived in that moment for the rest of my life.Thats about as close as i have ever gotten to tearing up at the sight of something.I think we set their for a hour nobody said anything but it was sureal like time stopped and there was only the people on the boat and the sunset nothing else at that extact moment the world shrank to the size of that cove.I welcome any pictures that rival or exceed this one. Michael, I'll try and add a pic later when not posting from my phone. I wanted to comment on your description of your photo. That is what this sport is all about. Makes everything in life seem trivial when you can just sit back, not say a word and just appreciate life and the wonders that surround us. I'm sure we've all had it, whether staring down a lake of glass, untouched powder or whatever inspires us. I've had friends recently give up riding for jobs and families, the feeling you describe is what will never let me give it up, wakeboarding is about family and sharing the stoke. End sappy diatribe. |
Some days we have 50 Miles of glass, most days we have 2 foot swells in this area. You can see the bottom in 50' of water too. I LOVE Lake Chelan. Back lakes is where we head when there are too many tourist on jet skis or the wind has kicked up. Had to take this photo off of Flickr, this is one of the three back lakes, Rose's Lake.

Here's one from Lake Buchanan. Usually it's pretty rough and we go up river but on those fall days when it's glassy and there's no one on the water for miles except for a few fishermen, it's magic!

yeah but you gota admit when you see somethin like that you just wanna get out and ride.thats the reason i have gotten a few ticket for wakeboarding at bay springs during a full moon.there nothing that compares to gliding across the black water when its perfectly glassy lit by the moon its like god opened up the gates of heaven to those willing to take the risk.i prefer wakeboarding at night than in the day for the scenery.but you can't see the double ups at night. |
