Just got a check from Marine max, for A LOT of money.... anyone have any idea why this maybe?
I've never bought anything from them and have no clue why... anyone know if they were running any give-a-way type things or something?

marine max is a dealer that does services and repairs. where i live its the sea ray dealer ship. (thats where we take out boat for oil and what not)
i have no idea why they would send that. how much is a lot?

Like multiple thousands of dollars.
only things I can think of are:
1. Scam - buts its a B.O.A. check... but maybe with the Econ banks are scamming now
2. I signed up for some ••••••• a mall, I do that a lot... and won
3. They made some big mistake

wow. thats crazy
i would call them or email them or something. it would suck for it to be an accident and them realize it 6 months from now and you get in trouble.
the only other thing i can think of is you entered something at a boat show and thats where the money came from

I called the Phoenix branch (check was from NE Marine Max - but mailed from a guy in Phoenix) and they said they would call the main HQ tomorrow morning, which is in Clearwater, FL... where I did spend a few months this winter, thats the only thing I can think of is some stupid thing at a mall or shop that is like:
ENTER TO WIN THIS BOAT OR $$$$
I love those things, I get sooo lucky... I've maybe won a lot of $$$$, 2 cruises (not even like timeshare crap - legit cruises), and a trip to Orlando once, flights, hotel, car for 3 days 4 nights.... maybe the hot streak is still going

haha.... how clever, disguise the free money to look like a potential scam so people don't use it.... after 30 days, right back to the government.
