Just looked at the 09 Ronix catalogue and there is no flexboard. Anyone know the reason why? I love my Covenant..... |
Not sure why, but they will not offer a flex board at all for 09. |
It is such a niche market they probably were not making any money on it. |
I think bailey is probably correct. I'm sure they run the numbers on it and it wasn't feasible to continue that type board. Just my .02. |
when the roam has such a strong hold on the straight flex style boards its hard to compete when the market is in shambles |
what about the "arcade by bill" board. it was described as being pretty thin and "snowboard construction" or something like that but as for the ride it was describing it as a speed demon for going huge into the flats at high boat speeds and long line... sounds like a "wana be like lyman and/or randall" board ;) Also the Coy was described to be the thinnest on the list... maybe these boards will only be as close to flex as the lyman? |
i love mine from time to time. such a cool feeling with it flexing under your feet.

I doubt hyperlite makes much money on the roam but they have a lot more production than ronix so they probably don't have too much of a problem pressing them. I have been riding a roam a lot lately and I really like it but I don't see it replacing a normal board for most people. (except cliff) |

I'm gonna follow Bryan's idea and post a photo as a mark of respect for the Covenant R.I.P. :p
Covenant – an agreement, usually formal, between two or more persons to do something specified. R.I.P soul turns are dead |
yea the arcade is ridden by dean smith and we all know he goes huge like lyman and randall |
I remember the 08 catelogue was out earlier than the expo, is there a link to it?? |
