The Camping will book up quick for this one so don't wait to long. September 20th and 21st is the last event for the season for Delta Riders Association's "King of the Delta" tour. It is a heated race with only 175 points separating the top two riders and third place is in striking distance also. We are planning a blow out event with prize money in outlaw doubling for first place and a huge after party Saturday night (Sponsored by Hyperlite, and Red Bull) with DJ, Food, drinks, and night time rails. Sunday will be finals and the official crowning of the 2008 King of the Delta. If you remember last year it came down to a ride off and some of the most spectacular riding I have seen.

Brodie,
I will send them to you tonight. I thought Courtney had done it already (my bad). She had them down loaded and said you wanted them. FYI there is not many but your podium shot is there.

Ryan,

2 day contest (info on www.deltariders.com under events page) Event on Saturday, Party Saturday night (sponsored by Hyperlite / Red Bull) and Finals on Sunday for those that qualify.

Coop, You coming down. AWESOME! Been a while. See you there. I am going straight over on Friday as soon as I get off work (1200). When you coming down? I will have cold beer at the "Trailer" (That's for you Gary). Come on over.

Wish I could be there to support our great local talent and root for Brodie, but my son and I will be in LA this weekend. Does this mean I'll have to wait until the Spring Ride for the next DRA event? The year has gone too fast.

Probably a stupid question, but are you still able to launch out of Orwood when the contest is taking place?

By DRA-its lifestyle (deltariderscom) on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 - 7:08 am:    Edit Post Delete Post
Yes you will,

We will control traffic in the slu heading towards Disco (might hold you up 5 or 10 min max) but other than that is should be business as normal.

We're all excited about this event, just a reminder that there is NO GLASS ALLOWED at Orwood Resort!

Also, Please, please, please... clean up after yourselves. We work hard to put on a great event so it would mean a great deal if you could pick up your own trash!

Notice to all riders:

I will be charging $25.00 for late registration.

Registration opens at 8:30am. I will keep registration open until 10am. If you are late, and your class has NOT started, there will be an additional $25.00 registration fee.
Unless you have made prior arrangements with Gary or Stacy, ONLY!!!

This is the schedule as stated on our Website:

DRA’s “King of the Delta” tour Final Stop

This event is another 2 day event. DRA will have all divisions compete on Saturday starting with Jr. Novice and continuing through to Masters Open. Then Open (Outlaw) will compete followed up by Advanced and Expert. These 3 classes (Advanced, Expert, Open (Outlaw)) will be competing to qualify for the finals on Sunday. DRA will take a maximum of 8 riders from each of the 3 divisions to compete on Sunday. Sunday’s competition will consist of Semi-Final heats (two total) then the final to determine the top 4 ranked riders for the event. This format is subject to change depending on the amount of riders in each division. If the division has 10 or less riders then there will only be 6 riders advancing to Sunday and there will only be one final run on Sunday.

For this event Sunday will consist of Jr. Novice thru Intermediate division’s top 3 finishers able to have an encore ride. Then we will start the finals for the Advanced through Open (Outlaw) divisions.

Upon completion of the divisions final scores will be announced and awards for the Advanced through Open (Outlaw) divisions. Immediately following Awards for the top overall point winners will be given and the King of the Delta will be awarded.

Saturday following the event there will be a VIP party sponsored by Hyperlite and Red Bull for the Riders and their families, Sponsors, and DRA’s most valued supporters. Their will be DJ, Food, Drink, and a slider/video kicking off as the night progresses.

By Stacy/DRA (h20diva) on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 - 2:44 pm:    Edit Post Delete Post
I will extend registration for Advanced, Expert and Outlaw ONLY!!! These divisions will be extended until 12:00PM.

Otherwise, after 10am is considered late for Novice, Intermediate, Masters and Masters Open.

Jr. Novice should be registered by 9:15am. Since the first rider off the dock is between 9:30-10:00am.

It's usually people registering late is why we start late.

how do we participate in the party if were not riding but are going to be camping and at the conest all weekend?

By Stacy/DRA (h20diva) on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 - 3:41 pm:    Edit Post Delete Post
"VIP's" will be given 4 tickets. If they want to give you one, that would be the only way you could participate.

You can however join the fun after the BBQ.
