Just get an old skate board and bolt down some old shoes or sandals to it. Works just as well.

An old skate deck and some old shoes attached is not even close to the same. It can get you buy but not even comparable. I got my guru and love it, used it tons and had no problems.

I had to wait a couple months to get mine because in the past guru with get a bunch of orders together and then have them made. In doing this my trampboard and the bindings cost me somewhere between $200 to $250 instead of there listed price of $325 or whatever it was. Here is the e-mail address I have for guru: troberts@gurutrampboards.com

I am in the process of t-bolting a set of bindings to an old Liquid force foam wakeskate. I have a buddy who made one it works great!

The guru board is so much better then a hard wakeskate. The skate is great when everything goes just right but has no give when it doesn't and lets face it that is why we are all on the tramp practicing. To make things go right. Maybe try getting a hold of Ryan Jones on here he may or may not be able to help.

Scott I hear you on the "Hard" wakeskate, but if oyu remember correctly The Liquid Force Foam is a board made out of High Density Foam no wood at all, it makes a great tramp board. I will post some pictures of it.

Go to a foam or rubber store (we have clark rubber in Australia) get a sheet of high density foam and a sheet of thicker lower density. Use adhesive to join them. Use adhesive to attach a set of skate shoes at whatever distance you want (I measured my bindings) to the higher density foam. Hey presto, a kicka$$ tramp board for 1/4 the price, just as tough, responsive, flexible and can be lighter/heavier to suit.

can anyone point to a web page where to buy the right kind of high density foam? is it what they use for mattresses? I ahve an old pair of snowboard bindings that can be put to use.

I've used a skate with shoes taped, stapled, and glued to the top, it works just fine. And i've come down not quite right plenty of times.
