8 straight days of snow and no end in sight The only good news is Alex told me he got into some waist deep stuff in the back bowls on Mt. B yesterday.

I know how you feel. It dropped into the 60's last night and the high today was only 72. Damn cold weather!

I feel your pain, whenever the plows come by and clear the street giving you that concrete grade snow pack wall at the edge of your driveway it's always a kick in the junk.

But hey, it's good for ya! Keep those shoulders and back strong for riding in the spring

We have been hit hard as well.....but I have been embracing it. We have been trying to work our way our of drought and this Winter will go a long way into getting some much needed water into the lakes. So I will do a little of this...

So this seasons trips to Powell the walls will look a little shorter than this....

You just need to go and do some of this to pass the time in between shoveling the driveway:

I'm in the same boat Randy. Been gitting hit for about 2 weeks and it keeps coming. I love getting out to ride in it, but am absolutely sick of removing snow.

At least you have snow. All we have is fog and rain. But not enough rain, just the drizzle that screws everything up. I am soooooo ready for summer.

Randy- Apparently it's supposed to just keep coming the rest of this next week too. We got six foot banks all around my driveway from the snowblower. My neighbor built a small lip on his roof with a nice quarter below to try out tommorrow after wheeling and shooting on China Hat.

HAHA it appears so around here anyway... The funny part is Redmond 15 miles away is bare and today had only partially cloudy skies. Were just stuck in the thick of this. Over 145 wrecks in the last 2 days, body shops are packed tight, and there's no AWD or 4x4 rentals left to even be had.

what i would give to have snow like that up where we live, wakeboarding always starts in april/may for us but until then the lake is fronzen so at least we need snow to hold us over.

Rich,

I want to live where you live! Wakeboarding is great and everything, but we have winter for a reason, and that is Snowboarding!!

We are supposed to pick a couple of more inches in town tomorrow and the mountains are getting hammered, over 5 feet in the last week.

Good luck with the snow,
jjakober

Scott,

Yep we're on Falcon Point. My berm (when the plow finally went through) was over 3'.

It was worth hanging around today, got a bunch of fresh tracks at Squaw when they finally opened the upper mountain.

It took some hiking but I got several first track runs of chest deep POW. After 6 days of snow the pass opened and we had 8-10ft of fresh. Best day I can remember. Who cares when summer's coming, I want more of that deep POW!

I head to Ft. McMurray today, doesn't look like the temp will be above 0 for more than two of the 10-14 days I'm supposed to be there. The trend puts me more in the -20 to -40 range.

Could be worse?

Rich, Scott our house is on Tyrol. Well we lived there until last June when we got transfered down south. But we will be back for good hopefully in Sept. But the wife and I are coming up for a week at the end of the month. My neighbor who is looking after our house said that the snow is up to the second story windows.

The wife thinks this is the most snow we've had piled up since 97. Good news for all the NorCal lakes and Delta as well this summer.

Hey Rich.... I know right where your house is. I recognize the railing. You're right down the road from our place.

Scott, did you ride last weekend? Tons of snow, but pretty windy. We were up, but had a bunch of friends that were lazy sac's with us. Tried to go to Sugar Bowl on saturday, but they were crying about the wind. Sunday we split pretty early to get home for the Super Bowl.

Cool! - Evan, I didn't know that! The guy that built our cabin uses that tree railing a lot and you'll see his houses all over TD.

By JHG (jhgsupra) on Thursday, February 07, 2008 - 5:14 pm:    Edit Post Delete Post
We would kill for that snow back east. Rob's got it figured out. we don't even have enough snow for some good riding. This winter has been a complete waste...

By Scott (K.B.C.) (sperbet) on Thursday, February 07, 2008 - 6:29 pm:    Edit Post Delete Post
Yeah Evan, been riding a lot the last few weeks. Saturday was really gnarly, your friends probably made the right call.

Rich's house is actually on the other side of TD, Falcon Point is over by the gym/rec center.
