Can I get suggestions on a good value binding for a 14 yr old with a large foot. My son has out grown his XL's and I need to replace but I am looking for a good value. His skill level is average and he not a brand snob if that helps. (Message edited by sangerlover on April 30, 2007) |

Maybe the CWB Torq. Obrien also makes some XXL bindings. I wear a size 13 in shoes and depending on the company I can ride as small as a Medium, but my foot is fairly narrow. What size is his foot and what company bindings is he riding now? That will help people better advise you which way to go. |

He has a size 11-12. The bindings are XL HL Blindsides. |

I would consider a CWB Torq. They are great for any size foot. |

my buddy and i have CWB torqs (2004 L-XXL) and just about all my friends have gotten into them. the one exception is my buddy who has size 14 feet. that was a struggle. could also be why i need new bindings now though (Message edited by Jman on May 01, 2007) |

jamie My son has a size 11-12. Would a XXL be too large in the CWB torq? Trying to think ahead and his foot will grow a bit more. |
|
JTW, I would go to a store near you and try them on. Torq's a a very nice well balanced binding but there is a need for comfort. That is everything..... |
|
I wear a size 13 shoe and the most comfortable binding I found is the LF Transit Magnum (XXL). Like David suggested though, goto a shop, if you have one near by, and try them on. |
|
JTW, My foot is a 10.5 and I was tightening them up real good. i think he would be able to go with the XXL. but definitely have him try them on if he can. the torqs are a great boot for $. and now he'll have the hinge tech too. |

Just make sure you don't spend more that wakeside.com offers the bindings for. wakeside.com also offers free shipping right now for bindings and there isn't any tax if shipped outside the state that they are located in. I think it's Oregon but check. Buywake.com is also good.... IMO |
|
Buywake has them too, same price free shipping and in stock. |

The Torq, if I remember correctly come in a size range, L-XXL as opposed to some of the other bindings that will run truer to size and are sized L, XL, XXL, etc. |
