Recently I had tried to purchase a cwb marius on this web site. I sent the guy the money but I never got a board. Is there anything I can do about it? |
post his name here! have you tried to resolve the issue w/ the seller? |
His name is Josh Boyd. I’ve tried emailing him and calling him. I have seriously tried calling him like 50 times. I believe that he has changed his number because now it doesn’t go to his answering machine now it says this number is now longer in use or something like that. We have found his home number/parents number but now one will answer or return our calls. |
Press charges. If what you're saying is true, it sounds like he has broken the law. I will be happy to provide IP info and anything else you need to track him down. It shouldn't be too hard. |
The thing is that he lives in Washington and I live in colorado. I have his address, phone number, email, and stuff. what can I do? |
maybe he rides/has ridden with the northwest hardcore dudes and know how to find him. they post here a lot. |
Not a bad idea |
Any other things i can do. Im just pissed because the guy has his money, I have no board and he changed his number. |
try this number. Josh Boyd (509) 884-8270 |
Ill try it |
It said that the number could not be completed as dialed. |
First thing, how did you pay? If paypal, then ASAP, file a claim with them. If you mailed the payment, you have his address and can contact thru certified mail. How long has it been since he got the payment.? Do some google searching on his WW username, and his real name. Also try his phone number. See if he has scammed others on other sites and gather up info off that. Here is some info to help you file your fraud claim. These links are for internet deals gone bad. 1. File police reports with your local PD. Then contact his local PD and file said charges providing them with the police reports from your local PD. Try to speak to the same guy at his local PD. You will probably have to fill out a general affidavit. 2. File mail fraud charges. http://www.usps.com/ 3. File a IFCC complaint: http://www.ic3.gov/ 4. Use www.411.com to use the reverse lookup feature to find a phone number for him/her. 5. You can also contact your state attorney general and file with their cyber crime department, who will contact the local police departments and speed the process along. |
When i try calling the original number it says welcome to verizon and that the number has been changed or diconected. The number is 425-248-9978. Would it be possible to contact verizon and see if they could help. Just in idea. |
I payed him through western union, bad idea. |
was that the guy that claimed he had to sell quickly in order to buy a valentine gift?? |
Yeah, western union was deff. a bad idea. When someone will only take a money order or wire transfer it always throws up red flags to me. I know this doesn't help the current situation, but I would suggest always using paypal for online purchases. At least that way you can alwasy have the chance to get your money back. Paypal has alwasy been good to me in those situations. I hope you end up getting your money back though. |
Yes, that's him. Here is his profile: http://www.wakeworld.com/cgi-bin/Discus4/board-profile.cgi?action=view_profile&profile=rainryder-users |
Post his address, We know people in WA. that might be able to help track him down. That sucks. |
Ummmm......Over on the MC website, something similar happened. A guy rented a cabin and never received his $500 deposit back. Left the place spotless. With no luck he posted on the MC website, someone on the website that lives in the same town as the jackass went down to his office and paid him a visit. Let's just say he got his money back ASAP. Maybe someone on here can help you, where is he in Washington? |
Here is what he looks like. Just the start of my quest to expose this thieving stableboy. If Josh or his friends are reading this thread, get this settled with Paul. |
I know a group of guys at Lake Stevens (that is the location on his profile), but I think he may live in Monroe if I remember correctly though. I will call my friends tomorrow and ask them about him. What is his address? I might just stop by there with my group of guy friends I am heading to Whistler with this weekend. |
before people get too crazy, how long has it been since you sent the money? is there a chance that the board could still be in transit? If it has been a long time, like 2 weeks, then let out the dogs! |
I doubt that is his address now. That is 2 hour drive from Lake Stevens. |
I deleted the address out of respect of privacy and in case this guy is out of town or something and not a crook. I will email it to you Paul. |
That number matches a "josh boyd" and so does the address. |

bsflower, I say you roll up with your boys and pay this guy a visit, he's giving us northwest riders a bad rap. You go girl |
239-5235 another number to try, I do not know the area code. I got this from googling the email address above. He posted on Craigs list before. The address I emailed you was owned by a Josh Boyd as of Dec. 2005. He may have moved since then. I do not know if this is the same Josh Boyd. I saw that the address matched the number Joe gave you so I assumed it was the same guy. Assuming Joe gave you a correct number. |
curious if we can find out who bought the marius and see if he/she got their board. |
Google number 425-248-9978 and it takes you to an old Craigs List post for a trampolene in Seattle/Tacoma area. |
Sucks to hear about what happened to you, sure is nice to have all these Wake Wolders on your side. Its amazing what a little pressure will do to these guys. Reminds me of the post on the 4x4 web site, the guys last name was Wenzel or something. Please keep us updated, I live in Spokane Wa, so not exactly close enough to do anything, but I will try to see if I can dig up any information on the guy. |
The Josh I knew of was a nice guy always making invitations to go out on his boat. This doesn't sound like the guy I know. Give it some time. Something will turn up. hijack... Randy - What is shaken down there in OR? You guys spending lots of time on the mountain this winter? |
tim, looks like it's been sold for a couple weeks.
quote:By Josh Boyd (rainryder) on Sunday, February 11, 2007 - 8:05 pm: marius is sold.... i let the absolute go for 100 dollars
http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/287082.html Hmmm, another old post. Maybe Mr. Smith can help us locate him> |
crazy, guess I dodged a bullet, I was gonna buy the absolute but found a good deal on a Flame instead. Hope you figure out whats going down with this guy (Message edited by soccerfreak785 on February 28, 2007) |
Maybe he did move to Arizona. |
That's so wrong. I agree that you should file a police report. Two weeks is plenty of time to get the board to you, and if it was legit and he hadn't sent it then he should have contacted you. Because you're here, you might be able to argue that the "event" took place here and file in small claims court here. Maybe check into that. File for treble damages (3x the amount) for intentional bad faith, plus all your costs. Get the judgment issued and then have a process server skip trace to locate the guy and get him served with the judgment. Don't let it sour you on WW though - he's the exception here, not the rule. Good luck! |
Its been like 3 and half weeks. I was the one one who tried to buy the marius. I got his money ove three weeks ago. He said he had sent the board to me and didnt get a tracking number, wich was strange. He said the board would be here last week on monday or tuesday. |
Karma's a bad thing to mess with.... |
I Agree with quido |
....WOW, This is not like Josh at all. I have not seen him for since last summer @ Sonoma. He is very good friends with Johnny Valera. Johnny if you read this see if you can contact Josh. |
Lets have a public stoning. |
People all seem to be jumping on a bandwagon with one side of a story- Maybe Josh is in a coma? Maybe jail or ill or strung out???? Regardless its funny how so many people can read something and react without knowing ALL the details. Regardless of what happened to JOSH BOYD how could you send $$$ so blindly? Kinda stupid if ya ask me. That was the BONEHEAD move. Sorry but that needed to be said. I have now put on my asbestos suit- ready to be flamed |
I wondered when I saw that post if it was for real, an 06 Marius and an 05 absolute Platty for 180 bucks, sounded to good to be true, but who knows. Sorry to hear about that Paul, that sucks. |
bad idea to post in your real name if you are going to screw someone. SEE! One more reason to post anonymously! j/k! |
Happy to be the first to flame..... Dude (board2death)... So you are a bonehead if you trust.....stupid..... Guess people should just stop listing stuff on the classified section here.... No, it did not need to be said. What difference does it make if Josh is strung out, in a coma or jail... he said the board was shipped..... How does being in a coma or jail change it getting here after shipped. Fact is, you are just trolling.....and I bit.... Thank you for the quality you add to this community. |
Wakeworld Power. They had something like this on 20/20 a few weeks ago...essentially the power of the Internet and YouTube to get back at scammers/bad people/etc. Josh Boyd will be sorry he ever messed with WW. |
I dont know. When I talked to Josh on the phone he seemed like a nice and honest person, but know I dont know. He said the board would be here last week, monday or tuesday. The money transfer was made over three weeks ago and he does have his money. He also said that he could not get a tracking number. The thing that makes me mad is that he wont return emails or answer his phone especialy since he has changed his phone number. |
all of this could have been avoided if you would have used your head and not paid with WU. Consider it a lesson. Good luck getting your cash back. All crooks sound like nice guys. |
Dude, I'll throw a little flame your way. It's outta respect for your fellow riders. I sold a pair of Zeus boots last month and shipped them blind and a few days later I received a check. I'll trust someone on here because I like the people here. If someone feels the need to screw there friends (albeit ones they don't know) then thats their perogative. Just watch out for karma & a posse of WW homies rolling to your casa. When you change your contact info after screwing someone it pretty much implies ill intent, coma, doubtful. |
I got to admit that I should have been smarter. I learned a good lesson. Never pay with western union, use your head, and if its to good to be true dont do it. |
We need to bring in Jack Bauer from the series "24". He would find him in an hour. Hope this all works out soon!!! |
can i get poster of the month? |
I had a similar issue with an ebay board 2 years ago. I had bid on the auction and ended up not being the top buyer, he offered to sell it to me via paypal but without an auction. I didn't have much I could do when he didn't send me the board for weeks after I paid him. I did digging and found his parents phone number, his phone number and kept on him. I must have pissed him off because he shipped the board finally, no packing other than a box, it came pretty banged up but I learned my lesson. It wasn't the same guy though Good luck |
Paul...I say you make nice with Josh, water under the bridge, hook up with him, give him a pull at 45 MPH, power turn to pick him up, reverse at full throttle and let the prop do the rest. |
Big Heavy and E.J.: This isn't intended as a flame back to you, but I do feel it's necessary to defend what Dude said to an extent. It's all well and nice to talk about karma and say that you should just be able to trust everyone all the time, and among bros that you know well that's absolutely true. However, doing business on the internet is a whole different ballgame. There's really nothing that makes his comment "stupid" - I'd say trusting someone out of state with unprotected cash, reguardless of where and how you "met" them online, is a little less than smart. Last I checked, you might get karma points for trust, but those don't translate into dollar signs. Dude was just telling it how it is. It sounds like Paul realizes his mistake, and that's the most important thing here - we've all been here at one point or another! Paypal is a great way to protect yourself online - I've been in similar situations and never lost any sleep/money because of it. Good luck to you, man - I hope you can get to the bottom of this. |
Van- That's funny! Dumb question, but I probably wouldn't get any red flags by being asked to pay via western union? Why is that not a good way to pay? Sorry very unfamiliar with internet sales/trades and such. |
Don't get Wenzeled! On pirate4x4 they are not nearly as nice as here. The Wenzel thread wound up with 2,239,572 hits, spread across thousands of internet websites, and made it around the world in less than a day. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=399203 |
For what it's worth.... I've had very good luck both buying and selling here on Wake World. I always use paypal and have been a bit trusting. Anything big enough to really burn me isn't going to be sold over the internet. As sad as it is, a couple hundred dollars isn't the end of the world, but it will really piss you off. Good luck with this... Hopefully we can continue buying and selling in our little community with good faith. |
Pirate4x4 - Too funny that anyone here would even bring up that site - it's for rednecks ya know. I once had a problem with a vendor and posted it on there - Within an hour 400 people had responded and the guy was begging me to call him to resolve the issue. Man, I havent been wheeling since I bought a boat - poor truck just sits in the garage. But just to add to this discussion - I have bought things from people on this site and never had a problem - Seems you found one of the very few bad eggs (Message edited by ian30 on March 01, 2007) |
wenzel!!! that thread was great! |
The point is this Austin, nobody needs to kick a man when he is down. There is no defending what it appears Josh did. So coming on and saying "You're a dumbass and should have known, it's your fault" is in poor taste IMO. I am pretty sure that Paul would like to turn back the clock and do this over. But hey, the guy says that he needs immediate funds....maybe doesn't want to wait for the PayPal funding process....or doesn't have an account....or whatever.....doesn't matter. Paul figures it looks reasonable at the time and pulls the trigger.....only to have people come on here and act as if he is to blame. HE IS NOT. |
that's GREAT, I was just thinking about how this is just like the start of the world famous Charlie Wenzel thread on Pirate 4X4. When are we going to start getting the photos and contact info of his family members?? LOL |
Thanks for your help. I did learn my lesson big time. The only thing I was hoping that I could at least talk to the guy, and get my money back. It is my fault though i mean my parents warned my but i still did it. |
The Wenzel thing was funny because I know the kid & his family. They live a mile from my folks here in SLO. When they were all putting up pictures of his folks house you could see my old house in the picture, I was crackin up reading it. Austin, I know its risky but I like to believe in the inherent goodness of man. I get proved wrong occasionally but for a WakeWorlder to screw another is ridiculous. |
Wow! this kid doesnt know what he got himself into. That valentines gift better have got him somethin good cause he has the whole wakeworld army on his a$$ now. Im assuming hes either gunna have some fun with the authority or someones knuckles when hes found. Good luck Josh Boyd Im pretty sure you have whats commin to you and i hope you read all these so you know never to show your face in the wakeboarding community cause your im pretty sure everyone feels the same way i do. Your not welcome in it anymore. Id have a heartattack if i sent someone 500 for a bored and they jacked me. Lets find him and pee in his gas tank. HA |
He would be answering emails if he was being honest about the boards being lost in the mail. Do you have the bank account number where you wired the money to?. |
ummmm... I said "Bonehead" and basically said DUH. Nowhere did I kick the guy when he was down, just pointed out the obvious fact that this is real world and you get burned like that. Same thing i'd tell my kid- . Sorry if it offended you but no offense meant to anyone as always. Unforunately not everyone is "cool" and honest. Now I also wanna say though kickin' the guys butt will only end you up with an assault case yourself and make wakeboarders everywhere look dumb when you go to court and say "he didnt send me a wakeboard so I attacked him". Be an example, be smart and dont be stupid cause it reflects back on everyone. Let the guys actions be the dumbest thing- not your reaction. |
If you know the town he is located in, try locating through www.zabasearch.com, it's free for the basic lookup. (Message edited by coldlake on March 01, 2007) |
Paul, I buy stuff from people all the time off the internet person to person. I have not had any major trouble yet. Too many people know him, and the wakeboarding community is small. When the time comes to unleash the dogs let us know, but give it a couple of days for someone on here to contact him and let him know to make it right. Pirate 4x4 is all rednecks? Dang don't tell the lawyers and doctors that. |
E.J.: The point of his post wasn't to "kick Paul while he was down" - the first half clearly illustrates this. Chalk it up to a difference in opinion, but closing the post with a comment about this being a "boneheaded" move isn't really kicking someone while their down. He didn't call Paul a bonehead and attack him personally. I'm sure Paul regrets getting into this situation - however, up to that point, it hadn't been mentioned that WU and trusting someone so blindly isn't always a great idea. I really feel bad for the situation Paul is in; like I said, these sorts of things are often learned through experience (I've been there). Big Heavy: I understand what you're saying, and honestly I'm not trying to attack you over it - that's an extremely good quality to have. I'm not trying to suggest that man is inherently bad or anything. I was merely saying that if you do "golden-rule" business over the internet with strangers, you had better be ready to stand by your convictions and take a hit every once in a while when you run into a bottom-feeder. It was never asserted by Paul that he did or did not hold such convictions, so it's sort of a moot point in relation to this situation. It's also worth reiterating the Dude's point - perhaps there is an honest explanation for all this. At this point, these comments are speculatory and are knee-jerk reactions to an automatic assumption that this guy is in the wrong. |
Paul - you're NOT at fault here ... Josh is. And if he wasn't trying to scam you, then he can rectify the whole situation by sending you the board for real this time or refunding your money immediately. People do stupid sh*t when they need money, but it doesn't excuse them or make it okay. |
does anyone know if paypal will cover "other goods" or non-ebay stuff? FWIW I've had nothing but success dealing with other WW'ers. I'm actually waiting some stuff right now, and I'm not nervous about it at all. like its been said, hopefully we can continue without problems. Paul, I hope you get your board. WINTER SUCKS!! (it seems like we get more pissing contests this time of the year...) |
While jumping to conclusions is generally a bad idea, provided these two items as stated by Paul are correct; I think the seller deserves a ribbing. "He said he had sent the board to me and didnt get a tracking number" "I’ve tried emailing him and calling him. I have seriously tried calling him like 50 times." Having personally sold items to others through wakeworld I believe we need to resolve this issue one way or another. This place has always been a VERY friendly environment where I never held a real question about anyone's integrity. I would like to think this isnt a place where questioning a sale is the first thing people have to ask themselves. With that said, this will hopefully be a lesson learned to everyone. Whether its protecting "our own" or buyer beware; hopefully we can get this resolved and demonstrate that if you mess around on this forum, there will be consequences (being a fellow Pirate member, it has worked pretty well at protecting a great site!) |
Paypal will cover your purchase if it is not an ebay deal. Make sure that you qualify for their protection policy. Only send to varified members to be even more secure. |
Go to zabasearch.com it's a good way to locate peoples info. Sorry for your loss. What goes around, comes around. |
i recommend zabasearch...it's how i found my son. |
This thread is rough..... Hope you get your board or money back. |
Thats all I would like. |
Calling Josh Boyd... Josh Boyd to the front office please! |
The number "425-248-9978" works. I got his voicemail, so keep trying that number. |
thats the original number i talked to him on. Last night it said that the number had been changed. I just tried it and it does go to machine. |
maybe i can call him from my son's phone. he has a washington number. |
Its hard to believe that some of these posts actually say maybe its not a good idea to jump to conclusions and judge this josh guy. "maybe theres an honest explanation for all this". Now dont get me wrong everyone deserves a second chance. People make mistakes and this community of wakeboarders is a D**M good one. This guy had his chance. The money was obviously recieved the board was never sent and the guys phone is mysteriously not working or hes just not ansering. Come on lets be real here. I wish you the best paul and hope that you find your money, board, and or josh. If you dont mind me asking though. What marius were you buying that cost 500 dollars. Platinum? Package board? I only ask cause bro if its just the regular marius with no boots or nothin 06 or 07 He ripped you off the back |
Try it. |
it was not 500 bucks it cost me like 120 but Im only 16 years old and now broke so it sucks. And I dont have a new board and I have to save more money. |
Over my b-day and christmas i saved up my money and spent it on some zeus bindings and then i needed a board and now im out of money |
If this is true, and this goes unresolved,I Hope this guy doesn't have the misfortune of running into any of the WW contingent from our neck of the woods down the line. |
Maybe Chuck Norris can help! |
Maybe someone should start a thread of things you absolutely never do when purchasing over the internet. Sorry Paul I would say you are better off chalking this one up as a learning experience. You could try calling the local authorities where he lives sometimes they can be helpful. I would talk to them and have receipts and e-mails ready to fax, they may be able to help. |
You should at the very least file a report with the local authorities, just to get it on record. Can I nominate Josh Boyd for thread of the month on his Marius Platinum for sale thread? That sure was a doozy! |
I don't know how you check this stuff, but I'm in for $5 to one of our online vendors to get Paul n new deck.....get 80 people to match that and a only line vendor to give WW their cost & I bet he is compensated with a Marius Platinum. |
first of all im not to excited with you mike smith linking my name to josh, i think a phone call would of been better... now im linked to someone who is a scammer.. thanks bud! 2nd im sorry for the kid who lost his money.. its a hard way to learn a lesson. ive been there.. 3rd i cant get intouch with josh i havent talked to him since x-mas. he is in bad shape going throught alot of bad times.. josh is a good guy and he needs some help.. i hope for the best for him and his family... 4th josh owe's me $10,000.00 so i have my own problems with him sorry everyone but i have no ties with him |
I'll chip in some dough for a new board, too. Just need to know where to send the money. |
i will also pitch some dough let me know the address to send the check... |

Count me in for a few bucks. |
Just tossin it in there but the post office or ups could've just "misplaced" the board, its happened to me and you wont know until they find it and realize their mistake in which they contact you. We are going all gung-ho on this Josh dude and for all we know he really could have sent the board and gotten arrested or hurt or something. Best of luck and if you dont hear back from him I'll pitch in the $5 for the cause |
Me too...how we gonna do this? |
Someone(Joe U / Dave W) want to take responsibility with a PayPal account, I will forward my money tomorrow. Hard for me to believe that we can't get this kid a deck. After JonnyV's post....I can safely assume Josh is strung out.....and his Valentines treat for the wife was really just slamming a teenier........ I apologize in advance to Josh & his family if I am off base.....but.......... |
Dave, This post started in February, I nominate it post of the month. 1st prize: new board |
I will collect the money via WU. When all the money is collected I will buy a new board for Paul. J/K I can chip in some cash (it is CDN and not worth much). |
Troy- good idea, lol. |
ill throw in 15 for the kid I even have a extra pair of 05 Zues. I know they are not hinge tech but I dont like that anyways.keep me posted ill help this kid out. |
hang on to your money folks! i'm working on it! |
I got five on it. |
I understand that sometimes life tosses you a curveball and you have to deal with it. He is in hard times, he owes someone else a buttwad of money. He could at least answer his phone and let Paul know the situation. Just say, Hey, I am in a world of hurt over here, sorry this is all messed up, lets work something out. Does not take much to push the "answer" key on a cell phone. His phone number is now on a public forum and if enough people call it and harrass him (not suggesting that , but then he will have to change his phone number or service provider costing him money which he obviously does not have. Or he will not be able to afford a new number or cell carrier and will have to do without. Just like Paul is doing without a board. You can try and be the nice guy for only so long, then revenge can feel better then getting what you were owed. (Message edited by colorider on March 01, 2007) |
Keep me posted Joe, I am willing to help out. |
I've got a 06 140 Marius that you can have, I know you were looking at the 134 but its all I got. Unlike others I believe in karma & if you take my board it simply means more Christmas presents in 2007, woo hoo!! Seriously though, Paul its yours if you want it. Unless your scamming us all....which brings me to another point, what if Paul Naney IS Josh Boyd & pulling the ol' double whammy. I'd probably still give you the board for being a sneaky bastard. |
wow. That is pretty cool BH. Paul, you should take him up on that one. |
Everyone give a hand for Big Heavy. That's really cool, man. |
Big Heavy for "Man of the Month"!!!!! |
Wow steve, that is awesome, I had hoped that my guidance as your older brother would manifest itself in some marvelous way...and it sure has, Good work! |
Tell you what Paul, if this guy is in AZ, let us know where he is at. We are down here for the winter and will do what we can for you. If I can't help you out, I'll offer up my board in return. I got your back all the way man!!! |
Wow that is a crazy situation. I hope it all gets resolved for you. I am down for tossing $5 in the pot when it becomes available. |
This kid is going to end up with like 5 boards. Not to be the hard azz, but look at it this way. We've all been scammed one way or another and you take this $120 lesson and get smarter. That's my 2 cents. |
true Ryan, but he's just a kid...I mean he saved his bday and xmas money for new gear. This kid has his priorities straight! With that said I'll pitch in for a new board, this thread alone is worth at least $15 |
Instead of giving him a board, I like benjamin's idea and all sending him like $10 so he can buy a brand new board of his choice. |
I say lesson learned, let the kid ride! Morty, your chivalrous ways have rubbed off on me. If only I could find a way to dance like you. **sigh** |
if you pm me your address I'll pitch in too I can give ya maybe like 10-15 (it's all I can spare till I get a job) |
Im speechless |
Big Heavy, are you shipping him the board? If so I'll pay shipping. If not, Paul, I've got $7 & some change left in my paypal account from the last deal. It's yours if you want it... |
I'll pitch in too. |
Paul. we don't put up with shenanigans! Welcome to wakeworld.!! |
Paul, I'll send the thing to ya. 1) Is it the right size? 2) Will you use it? 3)You've seen the power of WW, don't let us find out you sold it 3 days later & 4) The board is used, its seen better days. It has one crack along the edge that has been repaired. As I look at it now, I also see a small spot of bird poo (small bird though). |
PROPS to big heavy. and everyone else who's down. way to step up ww. count me in for the pot |
Big props to BigHeavy...not only for the offer, but making me spit coffee with the bird poo comment. BH....keep the board on hold, let's see what JoeU has up his sleeve....and if we can finance a 134 plat version... If not, the poopy board may be just the ticket! |
this is why big heavy is my hero and the best valentine a girl could ever have! he truly is all that is man - LOL! BUT ... if the board isn't the right one for you, paul, then count me in for $10 toward a new board. |
I'm in also |
I'm pretty impressed by everyone's generosity and attitude. Steppin' up to help a kid get back on the water after he's scammed by a fellow WWer is too cool. Ya'll deserve a round of applause. I hope it was worth it, Josh. Unless you have a very good explanation, I doubt if you'll ever be welcome here again. |
Maybe after he gets out of rehab... |
If we end up doing some donations, someone with more knowledge on the easiest way to set it up, CHIME IN. I would be happy to send this kid a $20. It's all about Karma. |
Does anyone know if whoever bought the other board rec'd it yet? http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/8/412326.html?1172774969 |
Ben - I think nominating someone to collect funds via PayPal and then ordering the board to ship directly to Paul is the way to go. I think Joe Umali is working on something. |
Hey paul I have about 3 boards and one of them is 134 marius from last year. It has some sun fade but its in good shape. Its yours if you want it just pay the shipping and let karma catch up with josh. My names david bro. You can email me at shredwake@hotmail.com or gimmie a call 559-707-2593 |
Paul we at innov8 action sports feel bad about what happened and we know this is not how the wakeboard community is, we dont treat each other like this, so all of us at www.innov8actionsports.com would like to offer you this. CWB wakeboards is also helping us out with this, so props to CWB for there help!! If you do not receive your money back or the board you bought does not get shipped to you, then we would like to offer you an 07 CWB Marius 134cm free of charge. We feel bad that you worked hard and saved your money to buy a board and got ripped off, so we are offering you this board, if all that was said is true and you do not get your money back or the board shipped. Let me know. Jeff Innov8 Action Sports 817-573-0558 |
YEA! The online wake community is good stuff.... |
Sorry this happened to you Paul. No one deserves to get ripped off. Jeff & all that were willing to donate funds - AWESOME I love WW. I am proud to be a part of this online community and to call ALL of you MY friends |
WOW, this is some great stuff. Karma....Wow. So it Looks like Paul is taken care of, I'm gonna find a local kid and help them out too...in Paul's name. |
Props to everyone helping this kid out!! I thought the guys on Pirate 4x4 were nice for helping the guy out, but this site continues to amaze me with how selfless everyone is. I myself know how hard it is to scrape up the money for something you really want and then get screwed out of it. I hope this all gets worked out and I'm in for a few bucks too if thats what is decided on. p.s. Big Heavy About fell outta my chair with the bird crap comment! |
Innov8/CWB-That is awesome!! Paul-Enjoy your new board! |
hey, its a SMALL bird!! |
Im in denver bro, geve me some contact info and I will pitch. Shizz, I will give you a ride to a shop if you want to buy live, or just look at em. Let me know Chris |
cwb is steppin' up and will send paul a new marius platinum 134! TO EVERYONE WANTING TO DONATE MONEY TO HELP PAUL OUT, THANKS A TON, BUT KEEP YOUR MONEY AND SPEND IT ON CWB STUFF!!! paul, send me your contact info. (Message edited by dakid on March 02, 2007) |
PROPS TO CWB!!!!! I DONT KNOW TOO MANY PEEPS THAT WORK FOR THEM BUT THERE COMPANY DOES GREAT BUSINESS AND THERE REPS ARE CHILL. WHAT UP STEVE BAITES. CONGRATS PAUL GOOD PEOPLE GET WHAT THEY DESERVE |
Joe, BH, CWB, Innov8, WakeWorld(Dave Williams)...huge props!!!!!!!! This really made my day. ps-Dave, do you ever say "boogity, boogity, boogity"? Just wondering since you are the 2nd coolest DW i know. |
once again, a small community steps up and takes care of business. props to everyone out there who volunteered to help a fellow rider out. this is why wakeboarding (and wakeworld) is one of the greatest communities out there. thanks to CWB for stepping up as well. because of this, my next board purchase will be a CWB. I am sure they will have at least one board that will fit my riding style. and to Josh, I sure hope you have a very, very good excuse for your misbehavior. karma is a biotch my friend. |
well, i don't know if anyplace in colorado sells CWB gear, but they do always seem to step up so if i can locate a sticker or something for them i'll put it on my jeep to sport around for 'em! p.s. they seem like such a cool company ... i just don't get why some random SMALL bird would wanna sh*t on them! |
Kylie, pm me your address and I'll get a few stickers out to you. I dont think I still have it... |
Thanks Joe and CWB. That is awesome, this website is unbelieveable! Enjoy the new ride Paul. |
Just caught up with this thread from last night, incredible. What a great group of people we have here. CWB has just earned a lot of respect and my next board purchase. I love WW! |
Hey Joe, someone stole my 2006 Wakesetter. Can you call Malibu and work your magic? |
wow...its a great board just sad you had to get ripped off...Props too cwb and Jeff...nice work guys... |
I knew I was involved in a company that has their stuff together but this is awesome!! Big ups to everyone! Paul, enjoy your ride and if you ever find yourself in Central Ca, come out for a ride! If I were a betting man, I'd say the culprit was either a Finch or North American Sparrow. You take that & then bake it in the sun & you get a quasi perma-poo. |
thats awesome im glad i ride cwb now!!! how can u seriously rip a 16 year old off like that. what an ass |
Even in winter after all the boat and brand and speaker bashing this site always blows me away... I don't think I've ever come across a better online community than this one what and amazing collaboration of people!!! Props to ll of you guys, and Paul Karma is awesome and as far as I'm concerned is legit so pay it forward. Still stunned |
Wakeworld is amazing!!!!! I was planning on getting another board and had a few companies in mind but after this it will be a CWB no doubt about it. |
my next board too... |
Great job everyone. Innov8 and CWB you guys are great. I keep checking this thread in order to see what Paul says when he gets the news. |
wow, thats cool. jeff/cwb you guys are awesome |
I keep checking it cause it makes me happy! honostly how about thread of the year (Message edited by tyboarder03 on March 02, 2007) |
I am proud to ride CWB |
byrd - despite the fact that my address should have been treasured and framed by you instead of carelessly discarded as trash ... sending you a PM. THANKS! |
Haven't been at the computer for a few days and OMG what a great online community WW is. Paul, sorry to hear about your troubles. WW kudos to all who stepped up. I just wish I had read this thread two days ago. CWB & innov8 - way to go. I have a prodigy plat and an absolute plat. Safe to say my next board will be a CWB also. Paul, I am sure you will remember the generosity of others next time you come across someone in need. |
Does anyone know if a store in Colorado sells CWB bindings? I need a pair of bindings and would definitely check what they have if I can find it (all I'm aware of are LF, Hyperlite, O'Brien and I think some Nice bindings around Denver metro). (sorry for the hijack!) |
I think S & W does. Not positive. 2450 W 63rd Ct Denver, CO 80221 (303) 429-1895 Closed on Mondays. |
Paul, when you have a chance, send me your address via email. I would like to donate a little money and some stickers to go with your new set up. If you have extra money after this is all said and done, you should fly down here and meet some of us at Spring Ride this May! |
Kylie, Stickers going out today. You caught me, I'm at work, and your address is at home in my treasure chest... |
Just seen this today. Great work guys!!! Joe and Dave you guys are the S***!!! Way to take care of this kid!!! Now ppl see why so many of us rep CWB!!!! I will always rep a company that takes care of ppl the way they do!! Thats also why I have Wakeworld.com right next to CWB on the back of my truck!!!!!! |
This thread is good stuff..... Joe, you are a credit to the wake community..... David Williams also is to be thanked for providing us this forum....look what cool stuff can be accomplished. Props go out to everyone who pulled this together and or offered up support, $$$ or goods. Amazing.... You know, I don't let my son get on BB or chat rooms.....but if every one was = to WakeWorld, maybe I'd let him take a shot. P.S. Let's not forget Josh. This does not take him off the hook. With that said, I know people can do strange things when issues arise and I hope he can turn things around, not only for himself....but those who care about him. |
Way to rock CWB and WW. Doesn't get any better than that. |
stefani, hang on to your money. cwb's sending him a board. |
What a great situation this turned into for "the kid". I agree with EJ we cannot forget about Josh and the situation. We need to protect WW'ers otherwise we will start seeing more of these threads, which is a bad thing (no matter how heartwarming and cool it is this worked out). I am Glad to see things worked out for the right person, but lets still offer some protection to each other and "police ourselves". |
P.S. I started my wakeboarding day's with CWB with the Area 51 . When I had that board some guy told me CWB will never last in the Wakeboarding game. Gave it to a friend and his family that was thinking about the sport of Wakeboarding. Huge hand shake for CWB for helping a kid out when in need. Sometimes it sucks to have the same name as a person like this! |
WOW, way to go wakeworld, cwb, and wakeworlders. Remember who took care of you bud, enjoy the ride! |
First of all I would like to thank everyone. I'm overwhelmed at all the response from everyone. This is awesome! I never expected this. This did really happen and I'm not trying to scam anyone, because I know what it feels like. I really don’t expect to see the board or the money because Josh won't return any calls or emails. Thanks for all of the help and thanks to CWB and all you who are offering things to me. I'll post my address once my dad gives me permission. |
Wow, you leave town for a couple of days and miss all the excitement. Props to Joe, Jeff and all who helped make it happen for Paul. I was intrested in bsflowers post about the other board. Wonder if he got it? |
We better see pictures of you boosting on that thing soon!! I'd love to see the conversation..."dad rememeber how I got scammed from someone on that wakeboarding site? Well everyone there felt bad & got the board company to send me a brand new board. Before they did that people offered to send me a board free of charge & others were going to contribute to a collection to get me a board. Can I please give them our address so they can ship me the board & other stuff?" |
Paul, email Joe Umali your info and do not post it on this forum or any other for that matter. I have known Joe for a very long time and will vouch for him. Stefani is one of the mods here and is willing to hook you up with stickers and stuff, so make sure she gets your address too Joe's email, which is in his profile. ju540@yahoo.com You are one lucky guy! Edit: Paul it is also time to post all the info you have on Josh Boyd. (Message edited by Peter_C on March 02, 2007) |
glad to hear it all worked out.. this is what wakeboarding is all about! josh still owes me $10,000.00? anyone? anyone? lol joking |
That's awesome, I was thinking the same thing yesterday and was going to call Sean at AWS, but he's out of town. Way to step up Innov, CWB, everyone. I just picked up a Transcend Platinum, glad to support CWB. Paul, just curious, did your parents give you the ole', if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true speech? |
This is Paul's Dad, I am amazed by all of the support, advice, generosity, and excellent humor. I always thought wakeboarding was cool and this experience confirms that! What started out to be one of those told you so, this sucks experiences turned into "WOW" there are so many good people out there. I know Paul has learned allot from this, as I hope Josh did. Thanks again, Paul was pretty bummed for awhile, but is now on cloud nine. |
Great going Joe! Thanks CWB! I may have to buy some of your products now! |
WOOOT WOOOT...... GO CWB!!!! MAKES ME SO DAMN PROUD TO BE ON TEAM CWB!!!!! |
Thanks for the reply Paul's dad, one bad apple will not spoil this barrel |
It's so awesome to see all the support Paul is getting. This is what makes me proud to be part of the Wakeworld community! |
I would like to give everyone a big thanks for everything that you all did. You guys are all great people and I would like to thank everyone who helped me by just looking for Josh to offering me a board. Everyone on here is so generous and I cant that you enough. You all turned a bad experience to a great one for me and I will never forget it. You guys all rock! Big thanks to everyone who wanted to help me get a board and BH, Joe, Dave, and Innov8 Action Sports for offering me boards. Big thanks to CWB who is hooking me up. Thanks goes out to everyone on WW. You guys are awesome! I’m So proud to be a wakeboarder and be a part of WW. Paul |
Wow, Incredible! So......Where's Josh? |
I like Stef's idea. I say all who were willing to sent money to still dom so, and we will get him down here for spring ride to see him shred on his new board. Not to mention the experience it would be for him. I got ten on it... And great work Joe, You the man. And everyone else who offered up. There is no other place like this place, so this must be the place. |
It's threads like this that make you realize how great and unique wakeworld really is...when I told one of my friends at lunch that I wanted to send a kid that I have never met before that was our age $15 so he could use it towards a new board because he got scammed, she looked at me like I was crazy. then when I told her that a lot of other people will do that if he wants and some offered him a used board free (this was before CWB offering new) I don't think she believed me but she did offer to take care of mailing it for me (obviously we weren't going to mail it as cash we would have made it into money orders? I think that's what they are called?) and NOT in the oh I'm going to keep it type way but a real I think your on something, but I support you anyway type way, I just IM-ed one of my friends now with that same question " if I told you I was going to send a kid in Colorado $15 because he got scammed when buying something on line would you think I was crazy" her response "a little" This site is awesome…I realized that back in November, and in a way I’m not surprised that everyone offered you a board/money/to get at the guy for you, because that’s the way the community is and should stay, I’m proud to be a part of wakewolrd and to ride CWB even more now for that matter. What I really want to know now is what’s going to happen when Paul gets his board, this thread gets old and Josh tries to come back…that’s going to be interesting, if he created a new account do you think that some would still realize that it’s him? By email address or something? (Message edited by wakegenie on March 02, 2007) |
he shouldn't be able to get away with that again |
Wake world community and CWB rocks. I just bought a brand new CWB board and now I am even more proud to rock there gear. |
I was looking at boots but now i will buy a cwb one |
This is AWESOME ! this is the kinda stuff we oughta see on the news vs. rape-rob-kill... My boy will be up for a new brd soon and I will definetly be leaning toward CWB. You guys are alright! all of you ! Jesus said "love your neighbor as yourself..." it will come back many times over, God loves a cheerful giver! just goes to show, you cant go wrong doing right... have s super wk. end! |
Wow, I'm impressed with the results Paul got. I'm not a wakeboarder myself, and this still isn't enought to switch me from slalom, but you guys have and awesome community. This thread is getting attention all over the place, congrats this really does a lot for a sport that sometimes has a bad rep. Kudos! |
Unbelieveable. Paul, in my honest opinion, the CWB Marius is...... J/K, you thought I was gonna start flaming it huh! Good luck bro and remember, WW people are SIK! |
Brad, I think Ronix makes the one binding. |
ok, i'm buying some CWB bindings. i think if i'm riding their gear, that officially makes me a "CWB rider" (albeit, not sponsored ... i'm sure they would though if they could just see my mad skillz! ) paul - i'm in the denver area. hopefully this summer i'll get a chance to ride with you and see that marius you're getting!! p.s. thanks for the stickers byrd! (Message edited by kylielogan on March 03, 2007) |
Ryan, I think Brad meant CWB one as in "the cwb one's" or "one CWB pair" |
Wow! This thread makes things black and white...CWB rocks and Josh Boyd does not. |
Lets not forget about JOSH!!! This A_Hole has screwed over over some people on here. We should still try to find this loser. Johnny V is still out $10K. Paul enjoy your new board. It is great what this WW community can and will do. |
Wow this post has me locked in a giant glass box of emotion. Paul sorry about the bad luck trying to get the board. I guess Josh Boyd just decided that the Marius was to good to get rid of...hahaha (sorry not that funny) I just talked to the boys over at CWB and they are going to over night me the board so that I can sign it for you and then ship it out to you. I know this is not that big a deal but I just wanted to do somthing to thank you for your suppart. I hope that you enjoy the board. Have fun with new board Paul Trevor |
Benjamin, Sorry I was making a joke, yes a bad one at that. |
Classy move Trevor |
Johnny - Sorry bro, you are right I fell the same way since my name was linked to Josh as well, lets clear the air right now by saying that neither of us are invloved. Sorry to hear that Josh is having hard times. |
Paul, now Trevor Hansen is going to sign your board for you, that is so sick now you have the rider that designed and rides the board sign it for you, Wow I knew CWB would takes care of you, but now they are going far beyond just great customer service they really do care. Thats why Innov8 sells CWB Exclusively, they are the best board company in the industry in more ways then ONE. Enjoy your new ride Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeff Innov8 |
WOW CWB big ups! Good to see that you guys steped up to make a situation right! Def earned alot of respect in my book! |
It's only March 3rd this is going to be my vote for "Thread of the Year" Disclaimer: This excludes any boat bun pics or pics of T-Dawg driving the boat. ......and to think some people have questioned others for jumping on the CWB bandwagon. |
I feel all warm and gooey about my Marius now!!! Props to CWB and Trevor from here in chilly England. (Not too chilly to ride today though.) |
Josh. I don't you dude, but if your out there you should make this right. This isn't like sneaking a beer under your seat when you get pulled over...these people are like family. |
Good job guys. This is awesome to see. On a side note (and I didn't want to bring this up because I feel kind of dumb for doing it), two weeks ago I sent Josh $39,513.23 for a 2007 Malibu VLX and I have yet to recieve it.... Anyone buying it? Please.... Oh well. My first board was a CWB T2 and have strayed since then. I think I may have to head back to my roots on my next purchase. Good job CWB. I think people who were going to send some money (if they do not send Josh to spring ride) should get on Innov8 Action Sports website and buy a little something to help them out. |
Classy move by all parties involved(Obviously not Josh), I am proud to say that I ride a CWB, after seeing moves like this I don't think that I will be switching to riding any other companies board. What an amazing community or wakeboard enthusiasts! |
I'd never understood all the CWB hype(excepton that their gear is good) but they really do handle business, and I also might have to make CWB my next... this isn't even promotion it's just being a great company and I respect that a ton, and as far as I'm concerned CWB is far ahead of any wake company out there in regards to making wakeboarding a good expeience. |
This is amazing! I can't believe that Trevor Hansen is going to be signing the board. This is great. I can’t thank you all enough. I can’t wait to see the board! As far is I’m concerned CWB is the best company by far. You guys rock! |
Haha pretty sweet Paul, I am so glad you are soooo pumped on your new board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and I know you will love it. CWB Rocks,Trevor Hansen Rocks, Wakeworld Rocks, Joe Rocks yeeeeeah!! Now you just have to wait for the lakes to Thaw Out in Colorado!!Its gonna seem like it takes Forever. |
Ya it will. Cant wait though. |
Big bump to Trevor and Cwb. Josh, you suck. Hope you meet the karma end of this big stick. Watch your back, we all have a pic of you. |
Rod, are you serious??? |
prolly no |
stefani, are YOU serious? |
Nice. I missed his second paragraph, lol. |
Joe, are YOU serious? Had to do it... |
Cliff, are YOU serious? |
Tim, are you serious? |
Joe Rocks! |

It just keeps getting better and better. Talk about turning a negative into a positive ! Props to everyone involved with getting Paul back on the water. |
This thread has more post in 4 days then the New Jersey Rider thread has for the year |
Congrats on the board and CWB for stepping up so this kid can ride again. Very cool how WW'ers are covering thier own- Now its time to address Josh Boyd.IF he's having problems- drug related or whatever- NOW is the time for his bros to come to his aid. Many people make very very stupid decisions in life and we should try and stick by bros even when they're down. Those that know Josh need to stand up and deliver him to Rehab. Do an intervention. If its strictly a $$ issue have a bake sale for him. Point here is stick by your fellow wakeboarder and bro. Then make sure he sends CWB some cash for the board- |
OMG!!! What an incredible thread! Definitely a thread of the year possibility. Hey Paul, I'm in the Denver area as well. Once you get your new board and it warms up I'll be happy to give you a pull behind my boat so we can show all the WW people that you're rippin it on the new board!! Drop me an email so we can coordinate. |
THIS IS IMPORTANT. Josh has just contacted me this afternoon by e-mail. He said the reason he did not not contact me is because he was not able to get on the internet or use his phone. Although he previously told me he had sent the board, when it had never been sent. He says he wants to make things right and will send me the money or the board. I told him that would be ok. This kind of changes things. I don't know what to think until I see the money or the board to prove he is sincere. Regardless of what happens I still owe everyone a big time thanks and I'm pumped about my new friends at Wakeworld. Paul |
wow, after all of that or is all of that why he suddenly contacted you? Guess we will never know |
Get the money and start saving up for some Faction Bindings... |
I'm glad to see this thread persisting...hook up Paul...but let's not let Josh slither off into the distance. Not a good person.... |
Like there wasn't enough CWB love on WW before this thread... Great thread, great story, awesome support, and sick board. I know I can't wait to ride my new CWB. |
I've got a pair of Medium Faction bindings you can....BUY! Hahaha, I'm killing myself here. Its true though, I do have new 2007 Medium Factions for sale. They come free of bird poo, but big on love. |
Wow, I haven't tuned into this thread in three days. Is there a Cliff Notes version available? |
Pretty amazing! I think this thread has opened up a lot of eyes. I know it has for me... I think I got caught up and a little burn out on the politics of wakeboarding as a shop owner and was pretty much done wakeboarding, but after reading this thread I realized why I got hooked on wakeboarding in the first place and what its all about. It's about the comraderie and the bond that you really don't find in other board sports. |
OH MY GOD, this is turned into a huge thread. It seemed like it all will work out some how. Thanks what WW friends are for. |
Just letting everyone know im not related to josh |
I think you should take the CWB board that CWB and Innov8 set up. If Josh actually steps up and sends you the money back, use it for bindings. If he sends you the board instead of the money, you should GIVE that board to a friend who needs one or hang onto it to GIVE AWAY in the next xmas gift thread to someone who needs it. Pay it forward. p.s. tyler - way to CYA! LOL! |
Arun, does that mean you will be riding again? |
i think kylie has a great idea. pay it forward Glad to see all the good things that came from this thread. and props to all involve. thanks dave, great site |
What's his age and graduation year? |
I told him that I would just like the money back because I dont need two boards. If he really wants to send the board instead then thats ok. Its really up to him the money would be better. Big thanks to CWB, Innov8, and Joe! I'm just glad its all working out, and that he contacted me. |
A big thanks to everyone who has helped in anyway. I can't wait to see the board. You guys are awesome! |
Post pics when you get it, I cant wait to see it either... |
I think someone could write a book about this story. Great ending! |
agreed this thread just shows how good people can still be it's really nice to see. |
just want to be a part of this thread in case someone does make a book of it. Congrats Paul and this is why i look forward to coming home from work and talking to all these great people on this site. at least till it warms up to go ride. enjoy the new board. |
wow I read this post up until the end of Feb just now caught back up wish I woulda done so last Friday..... had my girls read it...everyone was teary-eyed great job JoeU,Jeff,Trevor! way to go CWB my oldest is ready for a new board .....looks like it'll be a CWB!!!!! |
Cliff, I recommend the Sapphire , then again I have to everyone since my first ride on it ...I love my board! Just wanted to say that. |
thanks I'll look into that |
I will definitely be posting pics when I get the board. That’s a great idea if he sends me the board. A Big thanks goes out to CWB, Trevor, Joe, and Jeff! |
As nice as all of this is, someone needs to help Josh out. If he really had to steal $150 from a teenager, he obviously has some issues. |
one of my best friends is a recovered alcoholic and it taught me one thing: nobody can help josh until josh helps himself. but if/when he does that, i have no doubt that WW will be behind his recovery as much as they were behind Paul. |
I agree kylie. If Josh already owes an old friend (I made an assumption they were friends) 10,000 as stated earlier in this thread; I doubt there is much more help available. A friend that loans out that kind of cash is a true friend. I have had my own experiences with trying to help a friend in need and it only works when they are willing to help themselves. Otherwise as Charlie Murphy stated "we just gave him some help". |
Matt- " ColdBloodedddddddd" |
bet the dude was in jail -- he just needed to be honest -- a liar and a thief go hand in hand... |
this was a great thread and glad things worked out and Big Props to all who stood up and helped give this a happy ending.. NOw my two cents I feel like IF Paul reeives both a new board and his old board he should give the old board to a needy rider somewhere off of WW or to someone a WW member knows needs one and cant afford it.. You know pass the love forward.. I think a good way would let people write in on a thread or privately to soemone here like Dave,Joe or Stef and let them plead there case and tell us why they think they deserve the board.. then someone pick a winner.. that way this thread not only Helped paul but turns out it can help somebody else as well.. later |
I definitely love the idea of paying it forward. But I don't want to be a judge on who gets the board or not:-) Paul, your stickers went out today:-) Pay it forward by proudly displaying your WW stickers;-) Don't be alarmed when you get stopped by a fellow WW'ders when you least expect it. I was flagged down on a freeway TWICE in the past years and countless times on the water. Joe, everyone, way to pull through for Paul. That is just amazing. |
On another note, IF Josh pays Paul back, then he did the right thing in the end. Good for you Josh. You did the right thing and that says a lot about your character! |

Paul, wow I just read 80% of this thread and wow, I feel like stimpy-holding back my tears.. . WW's make me so proud!! If you need any other gear you can pm me and if I have extra I will gladly send it your way. I see the board has been takin care of. I remember what is was like being 16 and very limited funds! As for this Josh dude, Karma is a BEECH! I've done many transactions (paypal) with WW's and NEVER had a problem, and if something didn't go right they corrected right away.. THE WAKEWORLD FAMILY IS THE BOMB! |
God gosh..... I can't believe I just read from post 1 until now without stopping. Next time i'll learn to keep up with posts from the get go. Paul- I want to see pictures and smiles! Way to go Trever & obviously all those here! |

best of luck josh. its stand up of you to come on here and explain your situation. |
Josh - Hey thanks for coming on and explaining the situation. Hope your situation works out for ya. If you need a third, I am around these days and jobless, so there is a good chance I can make it on the water. tcluv85@hotmail.com Paul - Let us know what you decide to do with the second board. I liked the idea of passing along the love to someone else who is in need of a board. Everyone loves a happy ending. |
I just spent close to an hour reading this thread. it was not time wasted. p.s. - it would be awesome to see him give away the board he originally payed for to someone who really needs it! |
Thanks for doing all this. If I end up with two boards I will definitely give one of the boards to someone who needs it. Thanks so much. I will let everyone know what happens. Thanks Josh. |
I just got cought up on this post and it was GREAT! Got to love the power of Wakeworld. I have been trying to decide what board to purchase between a Ronix, Liquid Force, Hyperlite or CWB (ridden Hyperlite for 10 years) and I have decided that I will be purchasing CWB products. Glad to see everything worked out in the end. |
i feel a new website being launched soon.... WAKEWORLD-CWB.COM
Chris, ARE U SERIOUS???? Anyways, I have a CWB board and bindings and now I feel so much better in my purchase. I actually bought the board off a fellow WW but I am especially happy in my purchase now. Anyone know who designed/rides the Flame? I want it signed because I have an ingrown toe nail and it really hurts. Any help?? J/K Great site. |
Im glad things got straightened out by Josh. I too emailed him about the boards but never got a response. I guess Im glad now. But Im stoked everything worked out for the best. Josh do you still have the other board available for sale? |
you wouldn't actually buy it from him, would you? |
It's awesome to see all the love here.... Man WW is the BOMB! I'm glad to see everything worked out and that nobody actually got scammed. Ont that same note I dont think it would be right to take the board from CWB. They were offering the board B/C you got scammed....IMO since you didn't get scammed I wouldn't take the board unless they insist. I still can't believe how everyone came together...its just awesome to see all the good in people come out in a bad situation. |
No probably not. Unless he wanted to set it up in an escrow. Thats why you normally can go by "if its looks too good to be true...then it probably is". |
Way to go CWB, amazing company. Glad in the end everything worked out. Its amazing the power of a small community. One love |
