So a few friends and I are driving down to Orlando for spring break from the Upper peninsula of Michigan. I looked at OWC and prices seem super reasonable for riding. I was wondering if anyone has any input on cheep hotels or even a campsite around the area that we could set up a tent for a week or so. I was also wondering how hard it is to get on a boat for a day in the Orlando area

Hi Chris, When are you coming? I have the CIE crew coming March 14-18th. I'm located 1 hour from the Orlando Airport. We live on a private man-made lakes. Depending on time, your welcome to come over and ride with us.

If you call OWC, they have a really good price on a local hotel. I want to say it was under $50 a night. As a plus it is also close to the freeway and many restaurants. As a plus the hotel has free breakfast and cocktail hour. You will need to have the people at OWC book it for you though.

Funny that you posted this chris, because myself and a few of my friends had planned on the exact same thing. The rates for OWC are pretty high...185 for a week (yikes). Anyway, I'll have to give OWC a call about the hotel thing. I think our break starts the 24th. If anyone else has any good advice for the trip, let me know, or just email me

Yeeah! We're riding Orlando too. This will be my forth time out to ride with Craig. We'll be riding OWC too, and we hoping to hook up for a pull at the Projects, or Trevor Hansens place. There's all kind of places to ride there.

I think Orlando is the king of cheap hotels. You can find places for under $50 real easy. And Chris you should definitely take Craig up on his offer. He's got a great setup.

I'm counting the days. Delta was 48 when we rode Sunday. LOL!!!

Wow...my calendar is a mess. I don;t know what I was thinking, but Thursday the 15th would likely be t day we ride OWC. 
There's a chance of Friday night the 16th also.

Good advice, but the boarding school is not "The cheap way to ride Orlando."
We go just to have fun, ride OWC, and ride with a local pro we know out there on a private lake.
