Did anyone else do any board/binding art for the art contest? And if you did, have you heard anything back? I submitted my entry back in december and haven't heard anything yet, so I was just wondering if the contest is still going on. |
I have been curious about this as well. Kevin can you post what created? |
I figure the deadline is already passed, so no one can rip my work off, so here's the stuff I submitted. I wasn't quite done with it, and I never got a chance to work on the bindings. I'm not very good at photoshop or anything, but I figured it was worth a shot. Does anybody else have anything they submitted?
o my hell son! I would buy that. very nice. |
thanks. |
Great job! |
due that is really sweet. I would buy that |
J/w but how did you manage to create it so well. I have hand drawn some sketches but dont know how to do it on the computer. That is an amazing board by the way MAJOR PROPS! |
i would buy that you should send it in they would use it definatly i would |
Ya thats sweet, great job!! |
Stephen- I sent it in already, and am hoping to hear back sometime soon. Matt- I drew it all first on paper, scanned it in, then took a long time to clean it up with photoshop before I made any layers or colors. I learned as I went. So did anybody else send in an entry? I would really like to see what else people created. |
very cool man, love it. |
I really like your first entry! I hope you hear something back. -Steve |
I think its one entry, one shot of the bottom of the board and one of the top. |
Nice Looking work |
It is one entry; first is the bottom, second is the top. |
Looks really good... Nice work! -Blake |
I tried entering my design but I got a return e-mail saying that the e-mail address for the art contest was invalid. |
That is such a sick graphic dude! I would buy that deck in a second. Major props and I hope you hear back from them really soon |
Will- The email address didn't work? I wonder if they got mine...maybe I'll email them and find out. In the meantime, I'm sure people would enjoy seeing your graphic. |
I also got a return on my email, so I sent an email to wakeboard magazine stating that the email address for the contest was not working. I then recieved an email from Paul Obrien with his email address and that is where I sent mine. |
What's the address? By the way, no offense, but I've seen other designs and I'm pretty sure yours and mine don't stand a chance. (Message edited by dekay on January 12, 2007) |
I love the colors and the layout is great... But I would never buy it...I don't support the war theme or anything that glorifies/promotes killing people. |
The address that I was given was: paul@squareoneco.com |
Will- You're problably right, but it was fun to give it a try anyways. Justin- It's cool man, I'm glad you like the colors/layout. |
that wasnt the address for the contest.. i think it was 101@ronixwake.com or something like that. The deadline was Dec 31st. Anyone have a any info on when will they announce winners? |
101@ronixwake.com didn't work, so Paul O'Brien's email address was used instead. |
Kevin, that would be an awesome graphic. to me it says a lot more than "I promote killing people." I have a friend who is an artist. He painted something similar on a sheet of plywood. Its killer. HAHa |
oh.... and where did you send yours? I never got an unsent message or something like that |
I sent to both. |
They have posted the boards on their web site, but mine are not there. Anyone else have the same problem? The site is: http://www.metaphoricalwaterwonderland.com/php/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=22&Itemid=28 |
Mine wasn't on there, so I just sent it to the email address they provided on the site. |
actually it was, so nevermind |
wow, there are a ton of really cool ones on there! |
yeah, some of the designs are amazing. i gotta say, i really don't think mine has a chance against a lot of the other ones. great work to everyone who submitted. |
Best ones I saw...
the watercolor board gets my vote |
if byerly were to be in ronix i would say the third board would match well to his liking |
has anyone seen any of the binding graphics? |
that watercolor board is very, very nice |
i liked this and... |
there were alot of plad material copies/ takeoffs of liquid force. this is the only one that looked original to me of that category |
i liked the snake skin look (intended to be that or not... its how it looks to me) I dont think that has been done before... at least not on the outside... |
actually this one is not too bad either |
this one is deffinately the most... interesting... ok... im done no more to list from me |
i don't know if i am slow or maybe i just got a tid bit of inspiration that maybe others maybe never thought of. After looking at the ronix backwards "R" symbol for so long so many times i started thinking. maybe the '1" in the "R" has something to do with "square 1" Then i realized that the curved part of the "R" is similar to an "S" when the R is backwards SOOOO... maybe the "R" is actually "S1" for Square One AND an "R" for Ronix... AND the 1 can stand alone for a little company pride too i suppose. |
