are there any public lakes in orlando that are wakeboarder friendly? the public lakes in orlando that i go to (fairview, ivanhoe, butler) are usually infested with jet skis and drivers that like to drive in circles. i usually can find a nice spot on the butler chain but i live closer to downtown so it's a little bit of a drive...if anyone knows a good lake or can get me on a private lake that would be awesome!!

You just need to get up earlier, lol...JK. our chain down here in Winter Haven gets like that too, so we try to get out early. Usually all we see are men bass fishing.

OWC has no wake. It's a cable park. or pay $60 to ride behind the 220. Not that bad of a deal. Good water, wake and a driver. You spend 15-20 on gas anyway.

It is not a bad deal. Especially if you only ride a couple of times a week. It sounds expensive but work the numbers on owning your own. If you ride 10 times per month.

Boat payment- $450
Gas- 150 (10x15)
Insurance 75
Maintenance 75 (ave)
Total- 750 or 75 per ride.

Ronald, if you live in Maitland why not ride on Lake Osceola? It's in between Maitland and Virginia and EARLY (before 8am) in the morning or LATE in the evening you can get a good set on that lake. There's no boat ramp on it so you have to put in at Maitland or Virginia and drive thru the tight canal.

OWC just isn't the same as being on your boat on the lake.
