Doesnt have to be what you can land, but what looks the coolest to you.

1. 360 when the rider releases the handle then grabs it in the air.

2. Raley to Blind and land way out in the flats.

3. Shanes TS front flip in 12 Honkeys he dives out over the wake, like a sideways Raley, then tucks in does the flip and lands TS.

I cant do any of these, but maybe one day. To me these might not be the most technical, but the style is unbelievable.

I was hoping to get more responses....I guess everyone else besides Mel and me are enjoying the "Which Board, Bindings, Handle, etc. Is The Best" Threads that we see on a daily basis....

Glides and Glides to 180... Shane's Batwing to blind. SOB's KGB540. Waton/Lyman/Greenwood ole spins. When PB does, well anything, and gets pulled out the front and has to pull himself and board back under him. Ruck's switch mute mobes when he lands fully wrapped.

By Ron Lindsay (ronnyboy27) on Thursday, August 17, 2006 - 8:43 am:    Edit Post Delete Post
Hoochie glides and OHH. Also raleys to blind.

yea some of the threads are getting REALLY redundant. help me go wake2wake---zzzzzzz

i like boned out grabbed 180s. double rolls are insane. I would like to see Shapiro's orbital and flatspin or flatline or something like that. never seen those on vid.

I like keith lyman's tantrum bs 360s and his whirlybirds.

I like Greg Necracson's method backroll fs180 and just about and handle pass he does.

Big elephant.

I really like a lot of simple but well done (poked out with lots of style) grabs and spins too.

Pete Rose's and Moby Dicks.... Also dig huge, slow, grabbed spins. Preferably heal 5's or toe 3's.

Raley

By David F (focker) on Thursday, August 17, 2006 - 9:45 am:    Edit Post Delete Post
a few that come to mind...

Steve Mckinley's backwing to blind (legit)

Greenwood - hs off axis bs 180 (wrapped landing), the method glide/float thing to blind he does in butter effect

Colling Harrington's ts bs 5

Murray - slob or method backroll tweaked to the max off the double up in the opening scene.. I cant remember what vid, it's kind of old (maybe shaft?)

and the list goes on... I keep thinking of more and more as Im typing. I think most all tricks that look really smooth are pimp. TS backroll for example - not super technical (all the pro women do them) but a crail ts backroll is an awesome trick.

others - pete's, indy tantrum to blinds (classic), mute roll to reverts, all grabbed bs 180's, nose ts 3's

Edit: Oh, and since the 'orbital' was mentioned.. Does anyone else think this is pretty much a roll to blind? Ive seen him do a couple of sloppy ones that looked just like a r2b...

Nice thread, but I could use a little education here. I have looked a fair amount and have a hard time finding trick lists that actually show the trick on video so I can see what they are doing, or describe the trick in a way that I can understand what they are or both. Sometimes different sites describe the same trick differently or give different names to what looks like the same trick or grab. Its all good, but I'd love some resources that would let me learn what I'm seeing when I watch good riders throw down some great combos. It's like the night sky, the more you know about it the more fun it is to look at.

try getting detention 1&2 or the book series. breaks down tricks and how to do them, so you can differentiate the difference between tricks a little easier.

By Les Debbold (ldebbold) on Thursday, August 17, 2006 - 11:48 am:    Edit Post Delete Post
Thanks, I've got detention 1 on VHS and haven't been able to find volume 2 separately since now it is only available as the 2 vol DVD. I love volume one, but Shaun doesn't describe or name a number of the cool tricks he throws in it and I get the basics okay. I should check out the book, my son highjacked my volumes on spins and inverts so I should get those back. Woefully I'm still "building a foundation" in my own riding world. I was hopeful of being able to go to a website and type in "Hoochie glide" and watch the clip.

Bigworm, Nick Jones style.

By C.I.E. J-Rod (jarrod) on Friday, August 18, 2006 - 6:26 am:    Edit Post Delete Post
Big worms are sick, it seems like everyone throws them early though. Even NJ in a couple of videos. They often look low and rushed. Props to the guys that can do them. Them ain,t easy.

Toeside nuclear roll 2 blind... preferably by danny harf

By B.C.P...........Mike (wakeeater2003) on Friday, August 18, 2006 - 8:49 am:    Edit Post Delete Post
I got some good big worms on video I just got to get around to posting them. I will try next week.
The reason people rush them is because of the line tension on the trick if you don't start the spin real early it is very easy to get caught up and pile drived into the water.

And my favorite trick I can do is probably a huge heel five into the flats or a crow mobe because i like the blind landing.

Favorite trick I can't do has to be Watson's Petes they are sick as hell.
BCP Mike

While videotaping Sean O'Brien last year I watched him come up short on a big worm literally casing the backside of the wake. He was fine but I about threw my camera into the water as he corkscrewed into it at about mach 3.

I think I would just as soon watch other people's kids learn that one! LOL

Raley to blind. Shapiro does a beautiful one in 12 honkey's.

By Will (mi_moomba) on Friday, August 18, 2006 - 1:09 pm:    Edit Post Delete Post
My favorite trick from any video was Murray's in Counterfeit This. He goes HS huge raley, does a body slide, then TS huge raley, and another body slide. Just looked like fun. Actually any riding that he does seems like he is just ot having fun.

murray's blind judge and joey bradley's whirly 5's are nuts

Shane - I agree! The best and smoothest Whirly 5 I've ever seen was thrown by Joey. It's like he delays the spin and then spins so insanely fast. It's towards the end of this best trick contest video. SICK!
http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php/Princeton-Lakes-Best-Trick-Contest_wakeboarding-photos.html?medid=8614

It's at 4:50 into the video.

Definitly Murray's Tantrum 2 Blind, any type of grabbed glide, and any trick thrown by Parks in the "Shafted" movie. I like the 911 a lot too.

I have to say Harf's Blind pete above all... but also Necrason's double grab 180... Shane's spins... Lyman's ole spins... even Shapiro's orbital 5 (pretty smooth for a guy like him)... oh and giant backroll by Murray in Hype... that one was huge and so clean...

By alan plotz (alanp) on Sunday, August 20, 2006 - 5:00 pm:    Edit Post Delete Post
after thinking of it my favorite trick to watch is murray's huge nose grabbed back roll off the double up.
