I thought I saw a thread on here about some stuff you can put on the nose of your surfboard to protect it as well as the boat. I tried to search for it but couldnt find it. Its basically like some spray on rubber stuff. Does anybody know about this or has done it? I think someone said you can get it at home depot, if so does anyone have a part number? thanks

Hey Blake, you can buy a nose guard that glues on to your surfboard at any surf shop. They are very cheap.

Hey jeff thanks for the tip. The problem is i live in Utah and there arent any surf shops to be found and none of the wakeboarding shops have anything. that is why i was trying to find out about this spray on rubber stuff from home depot. thanks though

Yeah, I can imagine not many surf shops in Utah. :-) In case you can't find that thread, here is a link to an online site that will sell you a nose guard. This one is a bit pricey, but will fit virtually any board with the liberal use of a pair of scissors.

They have stuff at Home Depot, it is a tool handle covering. You dip your tool handles into it to make a rubber coating, you could easily brush it on the nose of your board.

The same company (see Jeff's post) makes little rubber diamond tips that sell for about 12 bucks. You'll probably spend half that for the tool handle covering, and the diamond tip will not look so ghetto.
Try mail order surf companies such as Swell, Killer Dana, Wave Jammer, etc.

here ya go:

Click on "accessories"
The nose guard is 12 bucks and the diamond tip is 10 bucks. The nose guard will flex a bit more to fit a wider range of shapes. I put one on my hybrid board and I got the same one in the link that Jeff posted. Paid 20 bucks for it locally.

Which one will fit a Hyperlite Broadcast better, the Diamond tip or the noseguard?

Thanks.
