Just got a new boat on Monday and Thursday night out on the lake a fuse blew and lost all power to ballast,, after a few hrs of hand pumping 1200lbs of water out of the sacks.. my perfect pass started acting up.. So when I turn the key on I hear perfect pass in the back of the boat sound like its trying to start but then it never gives me the beep to start the boat.. When I do start the boat then, perfect pass just beeps but nothing comes up on the screen .. Any perfect pass experts out there??? |

Charles, Make sure that you are getting 12 volts to the gauge and head unit. I ran into a problem with low voltage and had the same symptoms. I had to run a dedicated line to the PP because I was only getting 10.5 volts to the dash instruments. Hope that helps. |

Unless the 05 PP is differet than 04 there should not be any noise from the back related to PP. The noise around the engine when you turn the key on is the electric fuel pump coming on and building fuel pressure. The only noise from PP is the beep when it reaches speed or buttons are pushed. |

When you turn the key on, the pp tightens up any slack that might be in the line. You should have gotten a little booklet with troubleshooting tips for the pp. If you have it, look it up. If you did not get it, I could dig up mine. let us know.... |

thanks, it seems its not getting enough volts at all times. once the batt charges it turns on but then will sometimes turn off. |

chris this is an easy check. unplug the servo.(follow the line there is a clip you can unplug )if the display works then you are not getting enough voltage. it sounds like this is the problem. so you can run a dedicate line, charge the battery, try another alternator, add an additional battery(which is what i would do). |
