| My alarm locked up – on - in the armed mode calling the monitor co. every two minutes. I had to drive back out Sunday night to turn it off. The remote access was also inop. The alarm guys are coming out to fix it this week and I have asked for a new control panel. The current one is 5 years old and I figure it is due (Simon model).
Are there any features I should be asking for? I have not looked at alarm systems in years.
Does anyone use a cable & camera setup and skip the monitoring company? Within two years that is what I would like to do – hook up cameras, motion, temp, monitoring etc. to high speed cable.
