I'm looking to weigh my boat down a bit in an effort to increase the wake. I've got a 96 Tige without a tower, so my boards are all over the place. I was looking at the various fat-sacs that are available and thought the fat seat might be cool. I'm a bit concerned about how tough the sacs are though - will a wakeboard fin break it open easily? If you go with the regular fat-sacs, could you use them as seats or will they break if you sit on them? Also, how long does it really take to fill them up (say a 500 gallon)?

Thanks.

I have cover over both of my sacs. We lay boards on them all the time. No way a fin will puncture them with a cover. As far as sitting on them, I let my 4 yo climb over them but no adults sitting on 'em. Again, with the cover it might not be a problem. But they are on the seat anyway so there isn't any room to sit on them. With a 1100GPH pump it takes less than 10 minutes to fill both 550lb bags.

If your boat is a Direct Drive, the fat seat is a good option. I have one, email me if you want it. The idea is to weight the boat down pretty much evenly, or 60/40 with more in the back. How many people do you usually ride with and what range of age and ability? I would start with one big sack in the back and then expand from there.

I'm using a 2100PRE WT. I'll have 4 or 5 people in the boat usually, sometimes less. I'm a little worried that the fat seat is too big - both in weight and size. It looks like it will take up the entire back and about half way up the engine cover sides. Is it that big?
