I was just thinking yesterday that I have never seen Shapiro throw a hoochie glide. Maybe I have and just don't remember. Has anyone seen a pic of this?? This post has no point whatsoever but I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone had a pic of him throwing one.

He's definitely done hoochies. I can think of an old school ad where he's doing a hoochie on one of his old surf style shaped boards. I believe he also had a wbm poster in 1995 that was a shot of him doing a hoochie glide...

And yes, he can whirly too :-)

He does a huge hoochie in shafted (atleast i think it was shafted). But yeah you seen him do it pretty often. Now the whirly I've never seen him, or I don't remember (though I don't dought he can, and I wouldn't second guess Electicsnow's word, lol) but maybe its the short muscly (sp) arms that make it hard to get that "whirly" part, lol.

Yeah, his bicep prolly blacks his eye when throwing the whirly. I was sure he could do a hoochie, I guess I'm just seeing his huge s-bends and blind judges.

He lays out huge ones on a directional board in Spray, I think he maybe riding sandal binding too.

Spray was awesome, I saw that movie and immediately went out and bought a wakeboard, I think that was the official end of slalom ski days.

Aaron, you must be thinking of someone else because darin wasn't in spray.

And the whirly I saw from darin was at a 1997 comp (on tv). It was during the seadoo portion of the event and he did one behind a jet boat.

They show Darin doing a huge whirly in his section in Retrospect. I have to say that it was like none I've ever seen before, but still pretty sick.
