Can anyone please give me solid advice on how to price my used wakeboard. Please take into consideration it has only been ridden a handful of times and bought this year. The board is a 2003 Jobe Keith Lyman Pro Model with 2003 Hyperlite Parks bindings. Both board and Boots are in great condition, although the tail of the board has three minor cracks. The Aluminum fins are intact and very solid. It looks and rides brand new, I paid 450$ with taxes for the board and $550 with taxes for the boots. I'm looking for an estimated price range based on info.
Thanks a bunch - Nick

Ebay prices are not always accurate, sometimes you are looking at the opening bid price, any advice rather than ebay prices would be appreciated.
Thanks - Nick

Since you can buy 04 Parks all day long for under $350, and the 05's will be out next month, you might get $200-$250. The trouble is, most people that have $250 for a used pair of bindings, don't have any problem coming up with another $100 for a brand new set. As for the board; Ask yourself, "Would I buy a board with 3 cracks in it?"

You can go on Ebay, enter your search term, and use the search options on the left to limit your search to "completed items," which tells you all related items that have sold in the past month and the final selling price. You have to have an Ebay user account in order to perform this type of search, but it is a good way to estimate fair market value for used goods, be it a wakeboard or anything else. The other thing to consider is that many items such as sporting goods are seasonal, and the value depends on the time of year. For example, you can get snowboards right now on Ebay for next to nothing, but that will change in the fall. The wakeboarding selling season is coming to a close, and the value of used boards already is starting to drop a bit, so you might want to get on it. Good luck.

Thanks for the Info, looks like i'm S.O.L. I guess $5-600 for the complete setup then? If I'm lucky.

That still sounds like a lot of money for a used setup, especially if the board is cracked. It's hard because you want to try and get some of your money out of it, but the truth is people aren't willing to shell out a bunch for used gear.

One question, how in the world did you end up paying $100 more for the bindings than your board????

Can't you get that cracked board taken care of on warranty? Then you would have a new board to sell. Boots loose their value quick. Soon, the current models will be on clearance. I got my Parks brand new in October for $250.00.

"$550 with taxes for the boots." ouch!

You looking at 300 to 400 max, only because of the bindings. Sorry man, it hurts.

i'd say 300. 150 for each. maybe less cause of the cracks you speak of. that is all i'd pay.

550 canadian sorry I forgot to clarify that, all the currency i've mentioned is in canadian dollars. You people must have thought I was a liar or a moron for paying that price and asking that much for my board, if I can get around $400-$500 USD I'd be happy with that, how does that sound?

Haha....I was going to say, $550 for bindings is horrible.
I still think $400-$500 is a little high in USD. I think $300 would be the max you should expect to get.

I've got a 2004 CWB Absolute & 2004 Zeus' up on Ebay right now and it's going for $300 US. Obviously it's not a Hyperlite but so far the response has been very minimal. Mines in awesome condition & you would think more would be interested.

Your 2003 parks are worth $230 on ebay depending on condition. Your lyman board is probably worth 100 bux approx. So around 330 US sounds right.

edit: never buy wakeboards in canada, it's FAR too expensive because MSRP is pretty much what you see in all of the stores and it sounds like you paid MSRP. In the future buy from http://www.grizzly-sports.com/
