Sure why not its right down the street from my house.

The freeway is I-80 (very busy) and the Nugget is about 2 miles away. But you dont have to cross the freeway? If I was coming from out of town I would stay at Western Village (you will see) its right on the water at the park. Plus its cheaper than the Nugget.

I was told that the riders are staying at the Nugget. It's supposed to be the offical "Mastercraft Pro Tour Hotel" for the Reno stop. I figured that's where the party would be.

I'll be there. I should be arriving on Monday night, so if it hasnt been determined i will let you know if the hotel is right across the freeway from the marina, and if there is a nearby overpass.
If it is like the Ft Worth stop, i would say the majority of riders stay at the host hotel, which is the Golden Nugget as far as i know. hang out in the lobby on fri night during registration if you want some good photos ops.
I would assume sat night will be a video premeire/party as it has been in Orlando and Ft Worth, but i havent heard specifically yet. Almost all the riders old enough seem to hit up the party, and the younger ones kinda chill at the hotel ( at least they were when we got back)
Arun, havent seen you since the first WSSR, make sure you say whats up.
Geoff

I should have some extra tickets (about 10) if anyone needs some - you just have to let me know ahead of time how many you need, on a first come first served basis.

I'll be there Thurs - Sun taking pics and hanging out. There should be plenty of riders in town for this one since Friday is the X Games qualifier and one of the few chances that the pros have to make it into the X Games. Only 6 spots are open (3 men, 3 women) so it should be some intense competition on Friday. Another change from most tour stops is that the finals for Jr Men is on Saturday because the women are competing.

I'll be there for sure on Saterday and Sunday. I want to ditch school Friday but we have prom that night, and finals reviews so I don't think it will work out.

Its just the Nugget not the Golden Nugget. The Nugget is kinda like the ole folks casino around here. But a good near by party spot is the Great Basin Brewery across the street from the Nugget. We are thinkin about getting a few crews together for that weekend before or after the pro's ride.

By Arun Frances (poon) on Thursday, May 27, 2004 - 1:40 pm:    Edit Post Delete Post
The Nugget will never be the same after that weekend. : )

I just found out that Mammoth is staying open another week so I'm gonna drive up and hit Mammoth on Thursday then head up to Reno. One more day of snowboarding, and in June to boot. That makes my snowboard season was 8 months long, although I haven't snowboarded since March.
