100 degree rule brother, air temp + water temp = 100 or more and you are good to go!

Yeah! Michigan SUCKS! It's warming up here. 35 degrees today and it might get up to 50 this weekend.

The only problem, 16 inches of ice on the lake.
Hopefully, by May the ice will be gone and the boat will be back in the water.

Just to make all the people in warm weather areas, I will post some pics of the lake by next week so you can feel our pain.

Im looking to get out on the water first week in April here in MN. I'm sure there will be chunks of ice floating around but I am going through major withdrawl. What if I go out below the 100 degree rule? Drysuit?

Damn, it's difficult to calculate with Fahrenheit values. 100F=37C but 50F=10C.... So 2x50F # 2x10C!!

But if the water is warmer then 8C (46F) and the air is warmer then 10C (50F) (aprox 100F) you're indeed good to go. It works for us.

Only a couple months before the ice melts.

Michigan is 40 degrees during the day and below 20 degrees at night. Seems like the ice will never melt.

Tim - You back on the water? Hows the leg holding up?

Yea I live in central NC and every year up till
this year I was trying to bridge the gap between wakeboarding and snowboarding seasons. I always hated those days between. This year we rode sometimes in late Nov. and then it got cold fast
and maybe three or four weeks we had snow on the slopes so we done some boarding not to long after
wake season. This year the slopes isn't the same.
