I've got a pitchfork somewhere if we want to start a mob.

In all seriousness, WakeWorlders have been really good about taking care of our own in the past, which is comforting. Hope this guy gets what's coming to him.

You think he'll screw over the women on this site...

Now we've got a picture of this punk... awkwardly from a dating website lol... LETS LIGHT THE TORCHES AND GRAB SOME PITCH FORKS!

*Note: Apparently Sly Park Mark beat me to the lynch mob comment... however let it be known, that I fully support this sentiment and will contribute a pitchfork and a snow shovel. That's just sleezy messing with people on a Classified page frequented by genuine people who just want to do honest business.

Maybe a call to the Flint Michigan police dept. to see if anyone's reported stolen wakeboard stuff. If he gets convicted, he'll have to pay restitution to you guys. Maybe this guy has a trail of warrents already...

Jim Spearing, if your buddy is willing to cooperate a DA case against this guy is already coming together.

Ben- your profile says you're from WI. I'm from CA and this jerk is from Michigan. So if you and your pitch-forked mob come in from the north, I'll come up from the south, and we'll have him trapped. This guy has demonstrated a pattern of scamming. He needs someone to explain to him in no uncertain terms that it's not ok.

Check Zabasearch.com if you have his real name you might be able to locate him. I suspect his phone is a cell but if he was stupid enough to leave his real number you might be able to locate him or relatives that way.

Mark,
I just wish I lived closer than I do! That's an absolute joke that he has the juevos to come on here, and not only do it once which is still dirty, but then have the audacity to scam two people. I really hope this guy gets his comeuppance. SOON.

They say it's cold in Michigan in the winter... lets warm it up a bit for this punk. Torch style.

Dude's not a dentist is he?? I checked the name Rod Knoerr on Google with Flint Michigan, and I found a Dentist practice. Rod Knorr, DDS.

By Dan (texastbird) on Thursday, November 12, 2009 - 6:47 am:    Edit Post Delete Post
Rod Knorr DDS might be his dad.

I would suggest that if you sent him money via US mail, you engage the postal service. They do not take kindly to mail fraud and have lots of resources to help you recover your money and bring charges against the perp.

or go to his house and write A-hole in his yard in fertilizer. (that way he has to mow every other day to keep it down)....just a suggestion, not like I've ever actually done that to someone who turned my dog in to the pound or anything.

I would assume that is his dad (dentist). If to spend money and make an example of this turd by all means go for it he deserves ever thing he gets. Note: I just spoke with a friend who has very little contact but lives in fint and he said this clown donates plasma every Wednesday and Friday in Flint, lives with some crack whore girl and has nothing to his name. If it comes to getting money (dam it) good luck, but I will help out anyway I can. I feel so bad for you guy's this Sucks.

Andy G. - I put in a call to my buddy to see if wants to get involved. I am waiting for a call back.

Feel free to email me it is in my profile.

call the dads dentist office raise some questions, call the police department in Flint, then try the bank to see if you can issue a stop payment, and try to find out where the check was cashed, IE video cameras are in most banks and checks cashed joints

Yup, Monks.

Yeah, Eastern Michigan (Flint, Detroit) has been getting it's ASS kicked for sometime.

Anyone on here a Michigan lawyer who would donate a nasty letter threatening payment or small claims action? Take him to court, win a judgment, garnish wages. Lots of work but maybe worth it...

I just called Darin to let him know I have spoken with Rodney's MOTHER and she informed me that they hardly ever speak with him. She said the only way she ever could get him to call her was to leave countless messages on his phone which is this cell number 810-280-5698. I won't post his parents home number on here but I will be giving it to Darin and Taylor also. Taylor, Darin gave me your number and I will call you soon. One of my good friends family lives about 15 minutes from his parents and his place so if everything goes correct they will be paying a visit with the police in a very short time.

I've used this site to track down a scamer in the past. gives you all his info plus relatives etc. I think I found him from the initial free search. Previous addresses are very close to the one you provided.

Good luck hope you have the success I did. I was able to track my scamer down and send him a picture of his house using google maps street view. got my money back very quickly and only cost me a buck and some time.

don't forget to sign his email acct (rknoerr02@yahoo.com) up with a bunch of free gay porn accounts. He looks like he belongs on those sites. I wonder where he stole the Ronix VIVA from that he's trying to sell in the classified adds..

I also wonder if he really has an 05 Malibu (maybe behind that house?). If so, sure would be nice to find out what it looks like. 4 flat tires on the trailer, motor won't start up, stereo is gone, prop is gone, 2 inch hole drilled thru the hull, etc.... It's not hard to get someone back. Comes around.....Goes around... I'm glad we take care of each other on this site and punish the odd!

Here is a link to flood him with email. Don't have time or I would be on it.

Genius! Ok, lets bomb his email, call his cell phone repeatedly, give nasty threats, bang on his door, etc... That way he will have every opportunity to read his email and reply to the guys he owes stuff too, call the guys he owes stuff too, and generally not be afraid to do the right thing.

Way to make sure the guy actually did this stuff and someone didn't just use his info.

Also, who are the brainiacs that send checks in the mail for stuff they are buying across the country and over the internet? IMO you get what you deserve.. IDIOTS!!

Lets see, you could have suggested that you use the following for a COD or insured payment...

USPS COD

UPS COD

FEDEX COD

PayPal

Sometimes you have to actually use your head, and when you don't - take responsibility for being stupid!

Sam - a little uncalled for, no?

ummm, well I'm pretty sure this is an Internet forum where it's a free for all posting. When you get different age groups, ideas, personalities mixed up in the conversations or questions, it can turn all kinds of ways and you just have to either join or ignore. Especially when you get the young guns on here that don't think before they post (I ignore those), but it's your choice completely.

Some of us don't take it easy when people/friends get robbed, swindle, cheated of their hard earned money. So yes, Mob it is..

Yes, it may have not been the best choice to send a check. However, the catch is that someone on this site keeps robbing people and that's why this topic has turned into a "malicious mob". I don't see the problem. I only see people wanting to help stop this guy from doing it again. If it takes all of us to join in with malicious threatening conversations and keep this guy banned or increase informational awareness to the WW user community, then I'm all for it.

I'm all for stopping the guy from repeating this again also; however, by suggesting the above I think it eliminates pretty much all chances of the original people from ever getting their money back. If the money lost is indeed "hard earned" then I would also suggest, as I have, a more appropriate way of payment in the future... and a more tactful way of getting the money back... All this thread does is scare the guy from talking to anyone.

By torontothunder (torontothunder) on Thursday, November 12, 2009 - 2:01 pm:    Edit Post Delete Post
I'm with Luker- let the internet mob continue! But for the potential bounty hunters reading this, be careful going into that house, looks like it could contain gonerrhea and stolen handguns... And that's a nasty combo!

Hey John Anderson,
I don't think you will ever get your money back if you threaten and harass the guy, I would have used a much more subtle method... BTW, you do deserve to be taken if you send a check in the mail... my buddy from Nigeria would appreciate your help too. Also, do you still that song "Swinging" or the other one about the swamps in Florida?

Taylor,
Can you answer one question for me? Would you send a check again, or would you use one of the new fangled methods of payment like the United States Postal Service's Cash on Delivery?

you think sending a personal check is bad, what about everyone that uses their debit card (direct debit from checking acct) to purchase things on the net. Do you really think the PCI (payment card industry) can keep everyone's debit card safe just because you are purchasing something on a secure site over port 443 (HTTPS)? Think again, it's not hard to hack a site. We all do idiotic things!

Sam - no, I would not send a check to a stranger for a business transaction. nor would I call someone an idiot for doing so. but if you want to name call to make yourself feel better about your perfect little life, please continue to do so.

Train,
I admit, I make tons of mistakes, but I do learn from them. I think that in the current economic conditions that we are in, if you open yourself up to fraud when many alternate methods exist you take a risk. When you take a risk eventually you will end up on the short end of the deal.

As far as my life being perfect I have had a gun at my temple more than once and will probably go out that way.

Sam, I am sure that both guys that got ripped off know they did something stupid and won't do it again. Are you telling me you wouldn't try and figure out a way to get your money back or at least ruin this a-holes reputation and make sure know one else gets ripped off.

There is no need to come on hear and tell them they are idiots.

If I wanted my money back I would keep my actions on the DL, take care of business, and then post up the results and tell everyone not to deal with the guy. By making it public people will harass the guy, make one of the only methods of contact with the guy (email) useless, scare the guy, and basically put him on defense. That sounds effective to me...

plus the fact that they are opening themselves up to some serious legal issues if this dude ends up getting a beat down. lots of talk about money changing hands to make sure this guy learns his lesson. not smart.

hope you take care of your issues Sam. I really do.

I hate to say it, but in the days of the internet and all these scams, its kind of your own fault not trying to go through pay pall or some other route. Do you not think scammers will try and sound nice and everything to get your money?

It is dirty of someone to do this, but theres no way I would go over the phone with a check to someone ive never met or know anything about.

Shaun,
I assume that you are insinuating that paying with a check is less than smart... how dare you! You must live a perfect life and never make a mistake...

Lets compare how these sound. the first was Shaun, the second was Sam. which one sounds just a wee bit more tactful?

Suddenly this thread is no fun anymore. The bad guy is Rodney Knoerr. It was fun for a while sharing info and figuring out ways to get him to account.

I agree. Can we get back to the real bad guy, here? Any word from any of the people who were going to go to his house? Has anyone talked to him personally, yet?

Sam does have a good point, I would handle this legally so as to have the most impact and chance of favorable resolution. You might contact him with notification of plans to go to the police or court, but I'm not sure what you're going to accomplish showing up face to face, other than to drop a letter in his box with plans for recovery.

I really doubt the police would be too interested in this case. All he has to say is that he sent the board out, he never received payment, He planned on sending the board out next week or it was not him that conducted the transaction. Thats why crooks love the net. Its really a go no where case. Sounds like a small claims case or some one need to have a man to man "talk" with this dirt bag.

On a serious note and back to the problem... Was the bank notified that the guy cashed the check without providing the product. Whether they can do anything or not, it still needs to be documented. Does the post office know yet?

i just now noticed this thread. wow. it reminds me of one from a few years ago where the same thing happened. everybody got all involved and started investigating and somebody found his phone # on another site and posted it up. even though i wasn't involved, it was about midnight so i figured what the heck, it's a free call, so i rang him up and he actually answered. you talk about being suprised and caught off guard. he lied and said he sent the board and stuff and i posted up that i talked to him. the guy who paid for the board but never got it talked to him soon after, but i dont know if he ever got the board or his $$$. it was a pretty fun thread though. i can't stand lying and dishonesty.

Ya know, if I get my money back, or my stuff, great. But I admit I made a mistake. I've sent checks to people on here because i'm a pretty trusting person. After no contact from him, I looked at his profile and realized he hadn't been on here long, and knew I was an idiot.

As for all the comments about Taylor and I, you guys can think and say whatever you want about us. Did we make a mistake, yes, but should this kind of thing happen - no. All we were after was to find someone to try and track down our stuff without having to drive up there ourselves. I know it wasn't my intention to start all this, but so be it.

Either way, I'm sorry I'm a stand-up guy who likes to think there's some good people in the world. All I have to say is Karma is a ....... nevermind.

"what about everyone that uses their debit card (direct debit from checking acct) to purchase things on the net."

I make sure my debit card doesn't have a CC logo, even though the bank keeps trying to give me one. Make sure your CC is truly a "Credit" card.

By Sly Park Mark (murrayair) on Friday, November 13, 2009 - 1:32 pm:    Edit Post Delete Post
^^Very good advice. If money is stolen from your credit account, the CC company will almost always refund all but about $50 of what was taken. If money is stolen out of your bank account, you're screwed and won't see anything.

police wont do much, id take him to small claims ASAP... cheap and relatively easy. Dont waste your time threatening him and trying to fight him, take him to court... judge judy possibly hahaha?!?!
