Category: Ramps and Rails

Hello WakeWorld!

I am upset with our ramps and rails as of right now. We only have two solid options to build ramps. That is Trex and HDPE. First, HDPE must be mechanically fastened; so you can't glue it because its impossible. Next, both are quite expensive (100+), and trex can only be used for rails. I've always wanted to build like a backyard park, but it is so unbelievably expensive! So where is the slippery feel we want at a reasonable price? How can we build ramps and winches for a more affordable price?

I want to change this sport. I see a ton of intrest, with no opportunity. Almost all of my friends have heard of wakeboarding, but do you want to know how many actually wakeboard or have ever wakeboarded? Only 2! That is 2 out of around 100! So how are we going to give this awesome sport the boost it needs to be accesable to everyone? One of the biggest factors is how equipment intensive the sport is. We have to have a boat and a wakeboard, or have the luck to have a wakeboard park near your house, or the intrest to buy a winch. The average person has no idea what a winch is!!! WE NEED TO GET WAKEBOARDING OUT THERE! I saw a great step in this direction with the one person winch. This would really appeal to everyone. The biggest factor standing in this sport's way is equipment and knowledge. We need to find ways to give opportunities to the world, and people WILL come.

I hope this help you realize the potential wakeboarding has, and how much we can grow.

I wold love to hear ALL of your comments. So please comment.

Thank you world for reading!
